LOL
I've forgotten what concert it was, but I remember at Blossom Music Center circa 1978 waiting with 5 others until the parking lot was completely empty because it was the only way to find our ride. lol

Harharhar... I've had Zeppelin's "All My Love" stuck in my head for the past six years, dude. And I despise it. It's my default whistling tune-- what I whistle when I can't think of anything else and there's one a them bad gaps in the conversation that I just gotta fill and farting is out of the question... So it's

All of my love, all of my love,
Oh all of my love to you now.
All of my love, all of my love,
Oh all of my love to you now.

DAMN that's annoying.

It's been one week since we got to see
cheatin' lovers and cousins that marry
5 days since they had the shoe
with the hemaphordite, the slut and the crack ho
3 days since we heard the tale
about the guy who learned his woman was a she male
Yesterday it occured to me, that I've been watching too much Jerry Springer

This post has my achy breaky heart doing the Macarena

Die. Slowly. Painfully. You managed to get BOTH songs running in my head at the same time!

"It was April the 41st, being a quadruple leap year
I was driving in downtown Atlantis
My Barracuda was in the shop so I was in a rented Stingray, and it was over heating.
So I pulled into a Shell station,
They said I'd blown a seal.
I said, 'Just fix the damn thing and keep my private life out of it, okay pal.'"

One of my favorite lyics is from Smoke Gets In Your Eyes:
Something here inside, cannot be denied (and that something is...)
do do do, do do do.

Lovely.

I am 79 and I fondly remember "Lili Marlene", a WW2 German barracks song---i will never forget hearing the voices of German prisoners of war singing it on a troopship bringing them to the USA in early 1945--it was a rare night in the North Atlantic with a nearly full moon shining--hundreds of male voices singing this hauntingly lovely ballad in the midst of wartime on their way to imprisonment in a foriegn land--I was on duty as a Chief Petty Officer of the guard detail at the time---memories, memories, how they flow across the years

etc. etc. etc. Forgot all about till I heard an Armstrong & Getty rerun on the radio this morning. Argh!!

All My Love

Should I fall out of love my fire in the night,
To chase a feather in the wind.
Within the glow that weaves a cloak of delight,
There moves a thread that has no end.

For many hours and days that pass ever soon,
The tides have caused the flame to dim.
At last the arm is straight the hand to the loom,
Is this to end or just begin?

All of my love,
All of my love,
All of my love,
To you now.
All of my love,
All of my love,
All of my love,
To you now.

The cup is raised the toast is made yet again.
One voice is clear above the din.
Proud Aryan one word my will to sustain,
For me the cloth once more to spin.

All of my love,
All of my love,
All of my love,
To you now.
All of my love,
All of my love,
All of my love,
To you now.

Yours is the cloth mine is the hand that sews time.
His is the force that lies within.
Ours is the fire, all the warmth we can find,
He is a feather in the wind.

All of my love,
All of my love,
All of my love,
To you now.
All of my love,
Oh, yes.
All of my love,
To you now.
All of my love,
All of my love,
All of my love,
All of my love, love.
Sometime,
Sometime,
Sometime,
Sometime.
It's all, all, all, all,
All of my love,
All of my love,
All of my love,
To you now.
All of my love,
All of my love,
All of my love,
To, to you, and you, an you, and yeah.
I've got a little bit of love left.
Just a little bit,
Just a little bit.
Just a little bit of love left,
Just a little bit of love left.

Wrecked up like a deuce, another runner in the night.

I think it is "revved up like a duece, another roller in the night"

A reference to a craps player rolling for snake eyes, aka two ones, aka a duece.

RE: Post #263 (and my post #28 (side note - I now know I spelled the title wrong, but I can't remember the right spelling - is it Feliz Navidad? The song sticks; the spelling doesn't.))

Fortunately, I don't have a chimney. Just for that threat, however, I'm going to have to break out the heavy artillery:

S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y NIGHT I just hope you're old enough to remember and be tormented by that Bay City Rollers doozy. Because if you are, then you are old enough to remember the most annoying era in music history:

ABC 123 by Michael Jackson

Da Do Run Run - the Sean Cassidy version was the worst

Anything by ABBA - Dancing Queen is the one that comes to mind, but I know there were at least a half-dozen others

I suggest you find a porta-potty, Santa, because there's more where that came from if you don't straighten up.
