For weeks, the Bush administration has been sending up "trial balloons" to see how the public and media will respond to the idea of an invasion of Iraq.

This latest Joint Chiefs Study story is a part of this "trial balloon" strategy.

The JCS has, of necessity, undergone continuous planning for such an invasion for the past 10 years.

The reactions in this thread have been very interesting. Quite mixed. Not at all as unanimously hawkish as I would have expected.

Let me introduce myself. I agree with no one throttleing action outside of my capability to control that same action. IMO, it is written into our Constitution.

What this means is simple, I want a small government that our Constitution grants. Nothing more.
