After watching Newt & Sean discussing how Daschle, [$175K/yr] and wife [$250K/yr] will have a wonderful christmas while he single-handedly stopped the economic stimulus package from coming to a vote that would pass, I got an idea. How about starting a Daschle-watch over the holidays. We'll need freeper helpers from his home state to give us updates on how much enjoyment they are having while the rest of the country sloggs through the misery of a dull economy. We are not little kids and we can survive this crappy period, but the contrast would really get people to see what kind of person Daschle is; that he would rather see all the citizens of this country suffer through hard times just to maintain political advantage for his party.

Send a "Trail of tears" composed of unemployed families walking from South Dakota to Virginia in order to have Daschole share some of their feelings about his indesire to improve their lives. Throw a few special ed wheelchair types in there too.

I want to see Pres. Bush call all the scumbags back into emergency session on 12/26. Pathetic pigs vote themselves a pay raise and then leave town.

I'm Glad he killed the stimulous package, it will snowball from now till election time as long as we keep on starting those little snowballs at the top of the "HILL". He could not have built a better casket for the liberal Commies this election. This crap used to work before 9/11 but some of the sheep are waking up, thank God.

South Dakota's own
Tom the taliban has inherited the mantle from Bill Clinton as America's traitor.
Whereas Clinton swore an oath to "protect, preserve and defend" the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic (except when it threatened his own narcissistic pursuit of power and pleasure)........Taliban Tom has acted as a dictator, denying the American people their representative government. He and several other extremist leftist liberals have supplanted the "will" of the people with their own twisted idealogical illogic!!
I hope and pray that their demented hatred of Bush and the American work ethic will backfire. A strong rejuvenated economy surging into the fall election period would smother their sorry backward societal perceptions.
I'm also praying that one patriotic moderate Democrat Senator will announce his intention to change party affiliation and remove Taliban Tom from his position as Senate majority leader.
Senator Miller, especially, for the sake of the country, please put patriotism over party and do right for America!!

I agree!! Call them all back to Washington on Dec. 26. This move would serve the president very well by proving to the country just how concerned he is about out of work Americans and how serious he is about jump starting the economy. I also think recalling our leaders would be a perfectly understandable way for the president to smack Dashle upside the head.
Besides, unless he calls these fools back to finish the job they were hired to do, I'm afraid President Bush will lose the political advantage and momentum over the holiday break to what will be nonstop media (Rat) spin.

Did they recess so Bush can make some appointments,,last time I read they were not going to formally recess so Bush couldn't pull a Clinton and make recess appointments? I hope this backfires on Daschl but to be honest I thought it was a crappy package of stimulus stuff. They even backed down on lowering the 27% bracket and loaded the thing up with welfare benefits. People are losing jobs but hey unemployment is still low and there are jobs out there if they are willing to work rather than collect their full unemployment and govt paid insurance while the rest of us work and pay those bills even at jobs we hate.

Dubbya calls them back ...then VETOS the bill as inflationary...followed by a good dose of out of session appointments.
Doesnt dashole have a big house on the coast somewhere...?
To: spokeshave
Sorry....make that "a good dose of recess appointments"
To: cdwright
What killed the package was that President Bush wanted to take care of more people and allow them to decide for themselves which insurance they wanted to purchase, the Liberals couldn't bear having individuals make personal choices and not have control over them. But the main reason is to blame Bush for the recession in order to pump the chances of more Democrats being elected to the Hill come Nov 2002.

I like that idea too. Call them back to Washington, but make it Dec. 24th.
