I just watched the HGTV presentation of decorating the White House for Christmas for the second time. There was such a feeling of beauty, joy, respect, and a desire for excellence coming from everyone. Even the House plumber and electrician had made minature houses for the White House and they were "honored" to be asked to do it. I almost cried at the dignity that was back. Laura and George Bush know what the meaning of the White House is and that they are caretakers for the "People's House". What a blessing!!!

It's a question of gratitude. I never expect to understand those who are devoid of it.

I watched the HGTV special about the WH decorations, too. It was wonderful to see how truly beautiful everything was--not a condom or sex toy anywhere on the Christmas trees!

It is a shame, though that the WH can't have tours right now, and I know that the Bush family is sad about this.

I felt the same way when I saw the program. It is truly a dream-come-true to have such a wonderful family taking such good care of OUR White House after 8 long years of disrespect amd outright abuse. Just pray that the American people will NEVER again make such a terrible mistake as they did when they voted for the Clintons.

God bless President and Mrs. George W. Bush!

I think I heard that Larry King will show some kind of tour of the Christmas White House tonight. I missed the first one on TV, so will be waiting with anticipation.

I missed the Bah-Bah Walters one. If you're referring to the House (Home?) and Garden network, I don't get it here in my area.

Thanks so much for sharing this! Could I admire and respect President Bush any more than I already do? I think not!

Sorry, I totally forgot about that one, and I even watched it! Boy, Baba Wawa is annoying! I'm sorry you don't get HGTV, that was with Joy Philbin, and she (and her program) was much better.

Thanks for the ping, girl! One promise GW Bush has definitely kept is restoring honor and dignity to the Oval Office and the White House. What a difference a year makes, eh?

Thank you, Lord, for restoring dignity to our great house.

Mostly, I'm glad the staffers, the workers at every level of employment, like the President and his wife. In my mind, I imagine many kind hearted, well meaning WH oldtimers dreading to go to work during the horrendous reign of filth, of porn and citizen trampling the clintons reigned over. Good for President Bush. He knew how much we needed to know our house was being respected and enjoyed in a civilized and gracious manner.

The Bush Family has something the Klintoons will never have, and that is Grace, Poise, Gratitude, Honesty, Honor, Respect for others. And the list goes on.
