One of the biggest culprits here is the Western (and, especially, the US) mainstream media.

For years, it has been known that Arafat talks like a hardcore terrorist when he addresses crowds in Arabic, but that he speaks like a peace-loving statesmen when he talks to Western media outlets.

The Western (and, especially, US) mainstream media have KNOWINGLY COVERED FOR ARAFAT by KNOWINGLY ALLOWING HIS BLOODTHIRSTY CALLS FOR ISRAEL'S DESTRUCTION (uttered in Arabic) to go UNtranslated and UNreported to the American people.

Besides the fact that the mainstream media have, for all practical purposes, never reported that Arafat is OPENLY GAY. Arafat's wife lives in Paris, and Yasser has a young male companion, whom I am told, can often be seen in the background when Arafat appears before television cameras.

I believe there are about 5 million Jews in Israel. At 70 for one,Arafat will need 350 million martyrs. As there are about 1.5 million Arabs living there,he will come up just a bit short.

This science fiction story takes place in 2155, on an earth run by an Arab dictator with the power of life and death over everyone. He rules by terror, with a very contagious and fatal disease called Jitterbug, which has been used in the past, and has rendered 90 percent of the earth's surface uninhabitable. New Orleans, where this story takes place, is one of the few pockets of survivors left.

Olson, a drifter from the Southwest, enters the city assuming the identity of a Junex (Junior Executive) transferring from Dallas. Earth has become a place where ruthless amoral executives battle for what power is left, while everyone else simply battles for survival. Olson is accompanied by Gert, a sort of genetically engineered human sex machine, who knows her way around.

Together they battle for control of the local branch of the Light of the World (LOW) Corporation, the instrument through which the world is controlled, when their protector, the current head of LOW New Orleans, dies under mysterious circumstances.

This one is surprisingly good. Given the year it was published, it is very plausible. The social speculation is right on target, the characters are real people, and it's an all around interesting read.

This Arafat was already, when the Intifada began, in possession of $28 million in Swiss bank accounts, which he had embezzled from aid funds, especially from the Norwegians. It breaks my heart to see money taxed away from kindly, peace-loving Norsemen and given to scoundrels like this.

His "wife" Suha, in the meantime, has claimed that Israel was poisoning Arab water supplies (they had none before Israel came along, of course)...while she lives in luxury in Paris with her daughter(s) who may or may not really have been fathered by Arafat, a well known pervert and pedophile (boys).

Why is it that our government and other governments, of what once were the most decent nations on earth, are pandering to this monster? He isn't even a Palestinian, of course, nor is Arafat his real name. He was born in Cairo in 1929. Like 77% of the so-called Palestinians, he is an impostor, the descendant of Arab (esp Egyptian and Syrian) laborers drawn in after 1917 by the prosperity and decency brought about by the non-corrupt British administration and the hardworking Jewish citizens immigrating to the future Israel.

There is really nothing more to be said, is there? Daily we see mouthpieces for Arafat's PA on cable and network news, trying to distort and spin the unfolding atrocities as "terrorism against the Palestinian People" and "proof Israel does not want peace." Then we hear the translation of what Arafat actually says to his own people. He hoists the bloody shirt, and proclaims Muhammad al-Dura a martyr, when his organization oversees "schools" where young boys that age are indoctrinated into rabid hate for the Jews, and trained to become human bombs. What is left to say but the Palestinian supporting pundits are liars and frauds of the worst kind. There will be no peace until a completely new Palestinian leadership, with a real intention of concluding peace, arises out of the population. As long as corrupt, tyrannical murderers like Arafat are in power, this will not happen. So much for the "peace process." It is so stupid and absurd that our press still insists on pretending its 1979, and Jimmy Carter is just about to bring Anwar Sadat and Menachem Begin together in a final peace accord. The Oslo Accords were never more than a wish, a dream. The PA has never lived up to even the least of the stipulations of that agreement, much less shown good will in negotiations. This is another conflict that seems to thrive on outright ignorance; ignorance of the truth... about the PLO and Arafat's true intentions on the part of World Opinion.

With half the population of the jews, a 70 to 1 kill ratio would leave every palestinian dead(approx. 3 million), for only 4,250 dead jews. If I were an Isreali, I would take that as a bargain, if it would end the conflict. Dead palestinians are very peaceful I'm told.
