Israel Radio West Bank correspondent Avi Yissakharov reported this evening that Yasser Arafat declared in a fiery speech in Ramallah today that "all Palestinians are Muhammad al-Dura", that all Palestinians are martyrs. 12-year-old Muhammad al-Dura was killed in the Gaza Strip last year while his father tried to protect him from crossfire. Arafat called for all to join in the struggle to stop what he termed the Israeli program to Judaize Jerusalem. The crowd roared back to Arafat "millions of martyrs are already marching to Jerusalem." Israel Television Channel Two reported this evening that Arafat also told the crowd that "I am willing to sacrifice 70 martyrs to kill one Israeli" and called for a continuation of the struggle against Israel.
Yes. The one hit by a .50 machinegun, from the analysis of the film located quite close to the photographer, and not anywhere near where the Israelis were. The photographer with an Arab-sounding name. And if I remember, the father seemed to have a press conference together in hours, if not minutes.
Nonsense.
Absolute Nonsense.
In a far less threatening environment than that one was, I'd have been on top of my boy, doing my G. Damndest to shield him from direct fire as well as ricochets.
Please tell me that you don't have any kids...
For years, it has been known that Arafat talks like a hardcore terrorist when he addresses crowds in Arabic, but that he speaks like a peace-loving statesmen when he talks to Western media outlets.
The Western (and, especially, US) mainstream media have KNOWINGLY COVERED FOR ARAFAT by KNOWINGLY ALLOWING HIS BLOODTHIRSTY CALLS FOR ISRAEL'S DESTRUCTION (uttered in Arabic) to go UNtranslated and UNreported to the American people.
Besides the fact that the mainstream media have, for all practical purposes, never reported that Arafat is OPENLY GAY. Arafat's wife lives in Paris, and Yasser has a young male companion, whom I am told, can often be seen in the background when Arafat appears before television cameras.
As I've said, elsewhere on this thread, that's what I'd have done...
Instinctively.
We send our money to Isreal. The EU (Europe) supports Arafat's Palestinian Authority. I don't know for certain that we don't directly support the PA but I don't believe we do. It's the Europeans who need to wake up and smell the coffee (so what else is new?)
It is amazing that Arafatty and the rest of the super rich Islamic fanatics don't realize or know that we know what they are saying. The entire Arabic population or most of it has an arrogant and yet suicidal dark side. Positions like this statement by Arafatty remove any care about him and his killers. In 4 weeks he and his terrorists have hung a free fire zone target around their necks with their actions and words!
Believe me, they know that we are monitoring and reading what they are really saying. They have more monitors on Free Republic than you can shake a stick at!
Thanks for sharing how you are troubled by all of this double sided bs coming from the middle east and from our home grown Islamic terrorists and terrorist backers/funders!
Hmmm....gee, where are all those people who howl about "pro-Israel" posters devaluing the lives of the so-called "Palestinians"? Arafat himself is saying that one Jewish life is worth 70 "Palestinian" ones. Isn't that bigotry? Why isn't it denounced?
This does get complicated. I have read that either 70 or 72 virgins are awaiting martyrs in Paradise. Assume the bottom figure, 70 virgins per martyr: 70 martyrs x 70 virgins = 4900 virgins. Allah is going to have to work overtime. And that's for only one Israeli.
I believe there are about 5 million Jews in Israel. At 70 for one,Arafat will need 350 million martyrs. As there are about 1.5 million Arabs living there,he will come up just a bit short.
Arafat and Bin Laden are so eager to send their young people off to Paradise, but they deny themselves the supreme joy of martyrdom.
Powell told Arafat that the steps taken by the PA are positive
Does he want to make Powell look a fool?
