In my younger days if I found a cockroache in the house I would capture it and put it outside. I finally figured out that the roaches were too stupid to stay outside, and were going to bring their filth back inside first change they got. Now I go out of my way to stomp em where ever they are. Black widows and wasps are also on my "kill on sight" list.

I'm an example of a person who learned from my mistakes. But then, I was never stupid enough that I wrote fables about cockroachs.

I think the guy makes a couple of good points:

1) Everything is always our fault.
2) Never fight back, it just makes things worse.
3) Listen to the children, and follow their lead.

This is excellent stuff - I don't think I could have possibly articulated what's wrong with the antiwar left any better than this. He's managed to combine the best of misplaced forgiveness, self-hatred, and cowardly, childlike thinking into a single post.
