My favorite whine, post-9/11, was the uproar over the scrawled "spontaneous act of penmanship" (as a Naval high-ranker called it -- 'cause he had nothing better to do at the time) on a missile that said "HIGH JACK THIS FAGS"

Hey, under the last administration "chalking" weapons was banned because we might offend those on the receiving end. Like these freaks can read the writing right before they get sent to hell.

Just because the Left Angeles Slimes won't print any of my letters doesn't mean I don't write them.
Some advice if I may offer...
Keep track of those letters with registered mail and don't send anything via e-mail. A lesson I'm learning late in life.
They just might show up when you least expect them to, sometimes several years later when it is thought that you might have forgotten about it, without you being recognized as the author, having been given or sold to others to use.
Of course, any parent recognizes their own child, even in a crowd. Isn't that funny and unusual.

AnnaZ -- I know what you mean; our stupid Rat Rag here in Nashville, The Tennessean (Algore worked for them -- UGH!), will not print a single letter to the editor or op-ed guest column of mine, if it's at all political. If they're not political, I always get the four-star letter of the day, or my column will be printed, verbatim and uncut, in a prominent area of the page. Seems mighty odd. I write really well, it seems, except when I am writing -- errr -- "right."

Idjits. Hypocritical "idjits." (I majored in Hypocritical Idjits while growing up; meet my family, and you'll see!) Best -- or worst? -- of all, I think that the majority of the Lousy Left has no clue about how moronic their actions are. Their words? Don't get me started! *G*

Thanks for the astute column, AZ and Merc! I can relate. Believe me -- I can relate!

Thanks for the ping.

Now, they cannot fall back on any "Church/State" argument, so why do this? They stand to offend more than they will appease.

The average non-religious person (such as myself) does not feel slighted at all when religion/God is mentioned in a public forum.

Just last week, an old high school friend of mine took me to a Catholic Mass, and I thought it was glorious.

It seems that folks out there in the media are not trying to placate a small minority, but are trying to be proactive in their attempt to "radically secularize" all things we see and hear - but I'll leave the conspiracy theorizing to Merc ;)
