The first meeting of the Board of Directors of Veterans for Constitutional Restoration was held today in the virtual boardroom on the Freedom-USA IRC chat network.
Board members present were:
dcwusmc (also voting proxy for A Navy Vet), Jim Robinson, Native American Female Vet, James R. McClure Jr., Trueblackman. Also present were the Statutory Agent, B4Ranch and the interim coordinator, Neil E. Wright.
A quorum of board members being present, the meeting was called to order shortly after 1500PST by Neil E. Wright. As first order of business, Neil tried to pass the gavel to a board elected Chair, but the vote went against him, and he had to continue to moderate the meeting.
The following announcements were made:
The website will be up within the next 2 days. All that's waiting for is the DNS changes to promulgate throughout the internet. The website will be located at: http://www.vets4constrestore.org
The second announcement was that A Navy Vet was called to duty with his CG Aux. Sqdn., and that dcwusmc would be voting his proxy.
The board, by unanamous consent decided that the organization would be non-partisan, the only requirements would be that the members must believe in FREEDOM and the Constitution.
The board considered nominations for chair and vice-chair. By four to three votes, dcwusmc was elected Chairman of the Board and Native American Female Vet was elected Vice-Chair.
By unanamous vote of the members present, Neil E. Wright was appointed to Executive Director, in addition to being the self-appointed webmaster/hostmaster for the website.
There was discussion on the mission statement and objectives of the new organization, but no votes were taken. By consent of the board, the room was unmoderated so interested spectators could address their comments to the board directly.
Fiddlstix logged the entire meeting, and copies can be emailed to anyone who is interested in obtaining a copy.
The meeting was adjourned by unanimous consent of the board, when board members had to leave for other commitments.
The next board meeting will be announced on FR as soon as I get date and time from the board members.
