My geraldoesque prediction is that osama is being tracked and the Pakistani military will get the "honor" of bagging him. Just like we let the Egyptian army be the first into the liberated Kuwait City. Strictly a prestige thing.

...osama is being tracked and the Pakistani military will get the "honor" of bagging him...

And we will not have to deal with the bad (liberal) press of our military murdering someone.

I just heard the same thing. Geraldo claimed that the land war in Afghanistan is effectively over. Of course, with Osama still breathing, we're not finished by a long shot.

The Taliban may have capitulated quickly, but we have many more pests to eradicate. The fun is just getting started. I hope we keep the momentum up and pull the rest of these tiresome little thorns in our sides once and for all.

They said they heard him on those little radios, giving orders.

If *I* was in bin Ladins situation, I'd have someone key a radio and play a cassette tape of me, whilst I sunned myself on the shores of Yemen with a tropical drink in my hand.

As much as I despise Jerry "the vault" Rivers, he seems to be getting access to the front lines... something gunga Dan couldnt, or wouldnt do. He even surpassed war-whore christian amanpour.

The BBC is reporting that 500 al Qaeda fighters are "on run" in the forests in Tora Bora.

This is old news -- DEBKA reported this two days ago. And people were filing all those reports about his voice heard over the radio in Tora Bora -- He used his Harry Potter Cloak of Invisibility and his Marauders Map and snuck out under the radar == predictable.

this is as I listened and typed:

(CNN reporting anti Taliban forces commanders conclude Taliban forces have disappeared...they couldnt find them in great numbers...speulate they have gone to Pakistan...this commander also speculates Bin Laden has also escaped....80 Taliban forces killed..... reporter says anti Taliban forces say the Taliban forces...speculation again..."they have gone to ground".

Substantial bombing runs earlier ...but things have quieted down...CNN guy reporting all is very quiet now... Most of Taliban forces have "gone away". ) Oh poo!!!

I saw the interview with the Eastern Alliance Commander Hazrat Ahli (sp?). While waiting to be questioned, he sat with his head resting abainst his fist in what I immediatly recognized as the universal signal for "Damn...there goes my 25 million bounty".

if this is true and UBL has really slipped the noose then he must have received help. We will still find him, there is no where on Earth where he is safe.

BTW, has anyone checked the Clinton Library construction trailer for UBL? Barbra Streisand might of had him brought there with her private jet.

Is it me or has whorealdo become more and more anti-american in his reporting? I have to admit I have only caught less than 2 minutes of his entire Afghani career but the tone seems to me that he is hoping for something negative to say about us.
