Again, thanks for the links & info.... in researching this I was surprised at the level of activity in places like the Philippines ( just to name one ) and at how our media seems to ignore it as a topic.
( No real surprise there, if they don't like a subject- for any reason- they just won't talk about it.... )

YES! Our media has been very lax in reporting these things. in searching for the last few weeks, I was shocked to find the number of kidnap victims being held, killed or just released around the world. You can bet your bottom dollar islamic groups are behind them.
I only recently read about the man from California who was beheaded by Abu Sayaff a few months ago. I guess I don't watch the news often enough.
I guess my thinking is at least we can educate ourselves. I personally believe it is not going to be long before we are seeing more and more of this in our own country. Right now it seems like these terrorists are doing a good job of getting started on Americans abroad. What will our trade status be when Americans are routinely being kidnapped in foreign countries and begin to refuse to go there - on business?

As an aside I recently came across a post on one of the islam sites from a person who claimed to be a 19 yo teen in this country and was asking about correct execution styles for his "religion". He sure sounded like an American in his writing. He had seen the beheading video of the Russian and wanted to know more. Someone posted and gave him a hotline to call. The next Johnny Jihad comes to life....
