To Brian L. Buckley, Winston & Strawn and to whomever else it may concern:I, James C. Robinson, also known on this board and elsewhere as Jim Robinson or JimRob, hereby extend and offer my sincerest apology to our attorney, Brian L. Buckley, also known to this board as Clarity, for any and all statements that I may have made to any employee of the law firm of Winston & Strawn and or to anyone else that may have been construed or seen as defamatory, slanderous or libelous. It was never my intent to defame, slander, libel, belittle, damage or otherwise harm Brian in any way. Specifically, I retract anything I may have said that inferred that I did not authorize Brian to bring suit against Aldridge (aka, eschoir) or that he kept me in the dark regarding the W&S billings. It is obvious to all involved that I did authorize such suit and was personally involved throughout its course.
If is unfortunate that we became involved in a dispute over the Winston & Strawn bill and I would do anything if I could roll that back, but, obviously, that is impossible. I feel that my decision to go forward with the Aldridge lawsuit was a mistake, but I made the final decision myself and I am the one that must accept the consequences. Brian is not at fault for the decision nor is he at fault in my dispute with Winston & Strawn regarding the billing. The final bill was several times the amount I was expecting the suit to cost and so I argued forcefully that it should be reduced, but W&S refused to budge. In the end, I agreed to pay the full amount on a monthly payment plan. Hopefully, this dispute is now fully and completely resolved to the mutual satisfaction of all parties involved.
I am and will always remain extremely grateful for all of Brian's efforts expended on my behalf and on the behalf of Free Republic and our causes. Brian sacrificed three years of his life and many thousands of dollars of his own money and thousands of hours of his time for Free Republic. I loved Brian then for his efforts, and despite our current difficulties, I still do.
Brian, if you can, please accept my sincere apologies. I humbly apologize to you for any grief I may have caused. I wish you nothing but the very best.
Regards,
Jim Robinson
This is why we have such a great Republic.
Thanks, Jim.
There are so many names here now that I did not recognize yours, you registering here all of a few months before me and all. :-) I tend not to remember screen names here these days unless it's someone I've corresponded with a great deal. I don't spend that much time here these days. Too busy. I've lost that recall very quickly! LOL
Merry Christmas, Woodman.
Regards.
God bless.
Me too.
(Nice to see Christian men who are mature enough to find the paths of reconciliation...great leaders set great examples for others to follow...this is one of those occasions.)
If we don't hang together, we will surely all hang seperately.
Or as it says in the scripture...
Behold how good and how pleasant it is, for brethren to dwell together in unity.
Brian, the ball is in your court.
Will someone be gracious enough to flag me when that response comes?
It's too bad there aren't more lawyers like you around. You're a good man.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!! Comparing Arator and Clarity is going to get you in trouble.
While I could always be wrong, I hope you aren't holding your breath.
