". . .everyone was overjoyed and everyone until the next day, in the morning, was talking about what was happening and we stayed until four o'clock, listening to the news every time a little bit different, everyone was very joyous and saying "Allah is great," "Allah is great," "We are thankful to Allah," "Praise Allah..."Islam won't be able to live this down no matter how much liberals whine. This is a dagger to the heart. Any welcome they still enjoyed in the west is gone.

This tape has ignited an inferno inside me. It's been burning since 9-11 but began to wither. I want that $@*)&#@&* tortured. I want all Al-Queda tortured and eradicated from this earth and I know that my God, the ONE TRUE GOD will banish them to a fate far worse than we can ever do here. I cannot wait. However politically incorrect this is--I want the Islamic religion nullified and the Middle East destroyed. These people are poison.

The interpretor on CNN is saying there is nothing "tangible" on this tape so far.

I don't see this as being any more damaging to Islam than Jerry Falwell's comments were damaging to Christianity. Most people don't hold an entire religion responsible for it's most extreme members. It impugns the people who said it, not an entire race or religion.

"Any welcome they still enjoyed in the west is gone." How I wish I could believe that were true, but it seems to me that even as we get the upper hand more and more in Afghanistan we are inundated with Islam accomodating messages; all this while our kids are being taught about Islam in public schools and Christianity and the Bible are taboo. I guess I just can't be that optimistic. We take the liberals far too seriously in this country instead of sending them to their playpens till they grow up, as we should. We bow down to their demands not to offend even the most offensive of individuals whle the majority of us are subjected to constant offense against all we hold sacred and sensible. When I see us getting the same degree of leverage on the infidels at home that we are gaining over the Taliban over there, then I will be encouraged. Until then, I will just have to continue to pray in the sincere hope that God has heeded the voices of those who have asked Him to stay despite all the voices which have told Him to leave.
