I'm black and have eaten at Cracker Barrel restaurants in the Midwest- never a problem, good service, good food. If I don't like the place I don't go back- it's that simple.

I'm white and have gotten really crummy service at a couple of cracker barrels. Most however, do a good job. All have made things right on complaint.

You and me both. You don't have to be black to get rude, poor quality service. For instance, the bubble-headed teenagers playing hostesses at Joe's Crab Shack on Hiway 59 in Houston have seen the last of me. Five girls, bubbling and giggling, so intent on each other that they paid no attention to customers, seated other customers ahead of my party even though I was there first.

Hey, can I sue?

Your opinion is an honest-to-God breath of fresh air. Of course, since you have common sense, your opinion will be silently dismissed by the endless wannabe victims in our society.

I worked at a Cracker Barrell for years throughout college, and I never saw anything close to this. In fact half of the staff was black. It was a big family, no bigotry from anyone.

I'm white and have always had good service at Cracker Barrels. I can't remember seeing many black waitresses, but I've been served by at least one black waitress.

There may be a few rotten eggs in any chain. Thank you for your common sense. I don't go back to most restaurants because of lousy service, but have always had good luck at this chain. In general, the service industry is really lacking in civility and customer service.

It could have been discrimation, but it may also be the same thing all of us are experiencing in today's society.

WAY TO GO! Thank you, as a black person (African-American) for standing up in the face of and countering these accusations. It's really hard to have respect for some people these days when, instead of doing the right thing and working for a living, some people (ie: opportunists) look for the easiest way to try and make some money off of the sympathy of juries against a huge corporation or conglomerate. It's gotten ridiculous and really hurts those out there who REALLY may have been discriminated against. These days, it's so easy for people to say that they've been discriminated against because of (fill in the black) sex, age, race, religion, political preference, etc. Can't we just all get along? Thank you!
