I think most people here in the states just don't think it could happen backhoe.I think it is a distinct possibility in the not so distant future.Then again most people don't vote and don't even know who their congress critter is either.BTW thanks for all the links.

Thanks for looking.... you may have a point. I had an "interesting" chat with one of clinton's few butt-boys around here who was claiming that a nuclear hit on King's Bay ( about 25 miles south ) "wouldn't affect us because it would only have a 40 kilometer blast radius....."

40 km. is roughly 24 miles; he seemed convinced blast & heat effects stop abruptly....
