The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic will forever admire the courageous stand taken by Linda Tripp to tell the truth during the dark days of the investigation leading up to the impeachment of President Clinton. This was done at great personal sacrifice.
It is with great sadness and concern that we learned recently that, while others have profited handsomely from their criminal acts during the Clinton era, Linda Tripp has been nearly bankrupted and is facing foreclosure on her home. She was fired from her government job by Bill Clinton on the last day of his term. Her attempts to find another position in her field at the George C. Marshall Center in Germany were sabotaged by a leak to the press.
Since then, according to press reports, Linda has not been able to find work commensurate with her experience. We believe that this is because she is considered radioactive as a result of her reputation for telling the truth and not going along with the business-as-usual practices of those who do work with the Federal Government.
According to press reports, actions leading to foreclosure on Linda's home in Columbia, Maryland, have commenced. She had been renting the home out while staying with friends but it has recently been without tenants.
Members of the D.C. Chapter are stepping forward to help Linda in her time of need. We want her to have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. If you would like to share the D.C. Chapter's efforts as we give a hand up to a FRiend, here's how you can do so:
Send a check or money order payable to Linda Tripp. Please send it c/o David K. Colapinto, Esq., Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto, P.C., 3233 P Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20007. Mr. Colapinto will see that whatever funds are received will go directly to Linda Tripp and not to a defense fund.

Like many other Freepers, I have sent to Linda's Defense Fund over the last few years. A check is now on the way to the address you mentioned to help her personally.
I truly hope there is a big response to this becuse Linda is in great need at this time. We all owe her so much for her sacrifice and bravery. Go Linda!

Linda Tripp deserves our support for no other reason than that she stood up to the corruption in the Clinton White House when no one else would.
It's really sick to see people saying things like she had a great salary, and she'll get a great pension, etc.
She has lost her marketability in even the private sector. Would you want the publicity at YOUR business from the pihranna press? They will NOT leave her alone, and anyone in the private sector who hires her is asking for a whole lot of hassle that they don't need.
As far as the pension is concerned, she was one year short of qualifying for any pension when she was fired by Clinton.
Is it too much to ask that people actually examine the facts before they type?
What's the matter with people here? How quickly they forget! Is gratitude so passe here these days?
As a whistle-blower who had the Govies line up on the opposite side of my position and protect their precious GS jobs, while throwing me to the wolves, I can attest to the mean-spiritedness that can reside in these folks who will cheer you on, in private, and throw rocks with all the rest in public. And, sadly, as with Linda, my reward was unemployment.
As Jim Rob said, "Because of Linda, the history books will now have to say the "Impeached" President Clinton." Without Linda and the blue dress, Slick Willy would have managed to spin every lie, while changing the meaning of the word "is", for Pete's sake.
I wish I could help more than I am able - but I will write a check and write a note to a woman I think of as my hero.

I will be glad to help out Linda Tripp. My wife and I think the world for her and have worried about her safety and kept her in our prayers. and now that she needs monetary help, we will send some dead Presidents her way ASAP.
Just look how Linda Tripp has been treated compared to Monica Lewinsky. Monica gets a job with a diet company and a Saturday Night Live spotlight, while the left leaning media portrays Linda Tripp as a "Demon" When in fact she spoke out against a man who promised to uphold the law and serve the country with honor and dignity, but instead he disgraced this country and only served himself. Without people like Linda Tripp his manipulation and lies would of only escalated.
I only hope our help will be enough to really help her.
