...or else he will return home... Bye!

He might return to help in the integration of the Islamic squatters in Iran, Turkey, and Egypt. They certainly do not belong in Israel.

Looks like the place is getting ready to blow.

Didn't Israel set a timed deadline the other day? All these deadlines are BS. What time did the clock start ticking on this DEADline?
To: BrooklynGOP
This is one really tough Marine! He threatens to leave! ROTFLOL
To: BrooklynGOP
It's not time to return home but to support Israel that has nowhere to turn to with a package of nuclear weapons under attack in hostile and murderous terrorist land. Israel has all the existential, legal and anti-terror militaro-diplomatic rational for retaliation. Let us not be stupid.

My impression is that this is about the millionth deadline somebody or other has set for SOMETHING to happen regarding Isreal and the Palestinians. GREAT.
To: BrooklynGOP
No, no Mr. Zinni. I believe the correct diplomatic protocol is, "Unless you do thus and such, I will take my ball and go home."
To: BrooklynGOP
His ultimatum should actually read: "I will leave unless Arafat arrests Hamas leaders and quits using terrorism."

significant decisions within the next 48 hours or else he will return home, Israel radio reported. Hah. I think the Israelis have already made some significant decisions. When it comes to the PA decisions, maybe Zinni needs to check with the State Department if his deadline is in hours that are supposed to be counted "literally" or not, since same department has already stated that deadline days, when dealing with these critters, absolutely must not be counted literally. Yes, I know. It's irrational, but then, that's the poisonswamp for you :).

US Middle East envoy Anthony Zinni is demanding that Israel and the Palestinian Authority make significant decisions within the next 48 hours or else he will return home. I guess Zinni is part of the 23% of Americans who believe Israel and the terrorist Palestinian Authority are BOTH to blame. During the press conference Zinni also weighed in on other historic conflicts, announcing that in the attack on Pearl Harbor, the U.S. and the Japanese were equally responsible, in Eastern Europe during WWII, the Nazis and the Jews were equally at fault, and that Nichole Simpson made O.J. mad and therefore was just as guilty.

I wish he would not wait for the 48 hours, but just return home now. And I wish that Israel would go ahead and do what everyone knows it must. Do what it has to do: "what thou doest, do quickly."
How many dozens, how many hundreds, of these deadlines has Arafat ignored, talked around, pretended to attempt compliance? No wonder he and the Muslims see it all as a sign of Western, and Israeli, weakness. Brutal force is all they will ever understand.

When he arrived in Israel, Zinni said he would stay as long as it takes to broker a stable cease-fire. I guess he changed his mind about never seeing home again.

Agreed. A pox upon both their houses! Get the US out of the middle east! Finally, brooklyn, we're in total agreement.

Only a complete victory over all the Islamic terrorist organizations, and the nations that support them, will allow the peace process to progress.
