President Bush remembered Decemeber 7th by visiting the USS Enterprise at the Naval Air Station in Norfolk, VA where he thanked all of our troops, past and present, for their valued and faithful service to their country. Bush also vowed that we will win the war on terror. Earlier in the day, the President met with Saudi Arabia Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I sure hope some of the more conservative Democrats will change sides too!Anybody heard any talk of possible Dem.senators defections to the Republicans? We've just got to get the Senate back! I don't think I can take anymore of Daschle!

I see our secret service guy in a couple of pictures tonight! He is soooo tough! I'm always so happy to see him, I feel the President is in good hands.

Think maybe it got him to forget the war, democrats, economy etc, for the "rest" of the evening???Yes. I'm sure that happens often, dress or no dress. ;o)
hmmmm, did that come out wrong??

I keep finding more and more goodies on the White House site. They have pictures of all the replicas of homes of former Presidents. And some pics of the staff doing the decorating.
All kinds of wonderful goodies!!!

Not the Enquirer or the Star or the Globe, but I forget the name. It is National something, and the cover wording is about their private life together.

The picture of GW and Laura in front of the Christmas tree is gorgeous! I love the expression on President Bush's face when he's shaking the WWII veterans' hands. He knows and respects the fact that he is among heroes. His delivery today was so passionate and filled with conviction that no one could ever doubt that THIS is a leader. Thanks for this night's pleasure on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor.

Another day with Dubya to make us proud. It's wonderful that where ever he goes, he fits in, relates, and and gets applause.
The first picture of #6(?), looks like Poppy. There seem to be more of those in the last weeks.

The only reason BW's interview on abc got less ratings than the fictional west wing was because the pace of BW's interview was so slow that it ruined what little of the interview I saw. I like the Bushies but BW sucked the air out of the room they were in and I had to shut off the tv. Maybe they put it up against west wing on purpose so they could make us think that Martin Sheen is actually more popular than the real president.
Nice try, barbwa. Tell your former associates from nbc that I didn't buy it.

My boss' wife volunteers at the White House one day most weeks in the First Lady's correspondence office. The volunteers were all invited to a Christmas party this week and were able to walk around the first floor to look at all the decorations, sit on the furniture to eat delicious food, and meet Laura Bush.
Everyone received a small book (holiday program) about Christmas at the White House and she was able to get one for me. The title of the book is "Home For The Holidays, The White House 2001." It describes the decorations, focusing on the replicas of different presidents homes. The cover message from George and Laura Bush follows:
We are delighted to welcome you to the White House, our "Home for the Holidays." We are honored to call this historic house our home, especially during the holiday season. This year, you will find exquisite and historic decorations throughout, from richly adorned trees to Christmas cards from the permanent White House collection.
In keeping with our "Home for the Holidays" theme, replicas of some of the family homes of our Nation's Presidents were designed, built, and decorated by the White House's own staff members. The decorations are brought to you by an array of talented Americans. We are grateful to them for volunteering their time and talent to a wonderful national tradition.
Because this year's holiday season follows a national tragedy, both home and family have special meaning to all Americans. Gatherings of friends and family can be a tremendous source of strength and reassurance during this time. Our thoughts are with those who will be missing loved ones this year, and we pray that the blessings, the beauty, and the miracle of the holidays will bring comfort and hope to us all.
We are proud to share the White House Christmas tradition with you, and we hope this festive display makes your visit a memorable one. God bless you all, and welcome to America's "Home for the Holidays."

Have a slogan on me: "If you're still a democrat, what's the problem?" Dash-all threw his Friday fit today to embarrass the other bodies. Same scenario. Everybody knows they leave for the weekend but he stands outside on his little portable podium and says nobody but him cares about the stimulus package. Those mean republicans are running out on me!" Yeah, duh, after you all said you were leaving.

You joined us today, December 7th, just to tell us that.....????? Phony hero worship? Hmmm. Who's the phony here?
To: General Vlasov
Lets see December 7 huh? I wonder what rock you crawled out from under? Anyhow, go back to it and lie down and pull it back over you.

This is basically a picture thread. We don't post here to make political statements or debate the constitution. We do that on other threads. This is usually the last stop at the end of the day and you must be a man because you seem to be extremely uncomfortable with the way women communicate in a social setting. This is not a breaking news thread.
So, you'd be better off at a real manly thread where you have to use Irish Spring deodorant before you log on.

I AM SO PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN! This man who is our leader brings out the best in us. Nothing third world about it. Thanks again for all your hard work in giving us our daily dose.
