I wasn't picking om you, I know you just posted it. However, there is no oil company that would finance a pipeline through Afghanistan unless there were 50,000 soldiers there to defend it.

What is ridculous about this, is that prior to 9/11, the America haters were all saying that we tolerated the Taliban because we planned on putting a pipeline through. Now, we are getting rid of them to put a pipeline through.

Maybe, just maybe, the oil companies don't own our government. If they are capable of starting wars, one would think that they are capable of getting the gas tax lowered.

Sometimes I think I'm the only person on earth who remembers the Windfall Profits Tax (how much money did you make producing oil or gas? Send it in.) Can you imagine the outcry if such a thing were done to the technology companies?
