Do you know that DNA material degrades and can be comtaminated over time?

So, maybe this one victim out of all of them he didn't do. Why is this so conclusive?

Another fine example of Boston police work. Just like the Boston office of the FBI was in bed with the Irish mafia. Just like the retired FBI agent who bragged to a Congressional hearing about putting an innocent man behind bars and openly taunted them about it.

I remember vaguely hearing something about this, years ago. I just wonder what happened to the Nasser guy?

There seems to be what a left wing T/V host called a "mind set" afoot these days. All the naysayers have to do is find something connected with a case that is
Not the DNA. I know that if the authorities were diligent, only too obviously this tragic man did something and was involved in horrible crimes.
In Canada a poor young woman was strangled at her job at an all night coffee shop. A man was convicted. How does it now read? Innocent they say, well maybe he was- I dont know. Heres how the proof was offered. A pair of gloves was found near the crime scene. The hysterical shout went up ie: Was this his DNA? It was not, therefore he is "innocent"- I note wryly that here in my own city many, many miles away two years ago, I lost a glove. Fortunately, no crime was committed at the plaza where I lost it- one could imagine how a scream could have been raised- had a crime been committed in the area and my glove was found. All the naysayers have to do is find a different DNA and it(DNA) is all over the place- anybody can leave it there.

Albert DeSalvo is sent to prison as the "Boston Strangler" after he confesses to the crimes. And yet we are supposed to criticize the Boston P.D. for shoddy police work?

That is some truly wretched writing.

Yeah, George Nasser was one of DeSalvo's friends in prison. I don't remember all the evidence against him, but I do know that one of the witnesses was taken up by police to the prison to identify DeSalvo as the Boston Strangler, but to their consternation she instead fingered Nasser.
