Of course, this isn't a scientific poll =) Is that cuz the Internet doesn't count hanging chads?

Maybe this is why we surpassed our quarterly Freepathon Goals in just a few days! The good freepers realize that the best place for real news in on www.freerepublic.com
A prime example would be the great photo journalism that Diogenesis has posted on a regular basis on Free Republic. His photo "essays" have been incredible! Total Votes: 1305

Punched FR, no hanging chad.
To: Diogenesis
I think it's a mistake to promote any idea of FR as a news source. This merely encourages complaints of the sort we're currently enduring from the LA Times and Washington Post. What we do with the news is more about analysis and commentary. You could not go to any mainstream news organization's website and hope to see the same content we see here.

Of course, this isn't a scientific poll =) What do you mean it's not scientific. I thought Freeping was a science 8-).
To: Diogenesis
That has to be nonsense. Fox can be fun but it is hardly the best source for news even - or I would say especially - news serious conservatives. Would we prefer to write our own news?

How did CNN get more votes than drudge?
To: Nita Nupress
Your self search worked for me, Nita.

Methinks this poll got Freeped!I don't think so. Consider the alternatives and wording. FR is without a doubt more trustworthy that Fox, CNN, ABC et al., and Drudge. Those who picked one of the others may not have experienced FR.
The use of "none" for the final choice leads people to pick the most trusted of the choices given, not that most trusted of all. If the final choice were "Other", than the results may be different.

It may be the security settings on your computer are dumping the login cookie when you leave FR. The site looks for the cookie when you open the page and if it doesn't find it, requests that you log in.
To: Gimlet
I always thought it would be cool for FR to sponsor a columnist...and maybe get them syndicated. But I don't think that's in the cards, especially with our legal issues right now.
That said, why do you think the poll is so high for FR? It wouldn't be because there's a "Freep this Poll" post for it, now, would it?

My prefs are Freep, FOX, Drudge, and others when I'm through with those three. I watch more of FOX on the tube than I do on the net. To think, 10 years ago, I watched the McLaughlin Report, thinking that this was the best outlet, and even that stunk. I haven't watched MR in ages. Eleanor Clift is a dingbat; I'm tolerant, but I had my fill of her.....

Instead of logging in over and over again, just save the screen as a Favorite when you're on the Self-search page. This way, you can just click on it once when you first go on FR.

Don't get too excited. The 'masses' that vote for their 'beloved' Democrats don't vote in polls like this.
