Hey now... I'm a huge heavy metal fan... Black Sabbath is one of my all time favorites. Saw Ozzy and crew several times back in the 70's.

I also like the ones I mentioned. My more recent favorites are Louisa John-Krol, Dead Can Dance and some Tool (for a nice mix...).

BTW,I managed to find a MINT Polydor version of the Link Wray album on E-Bay,and managed to bag it for less than 25 bucks! I've been looking to replace this album for 20 years! Don't even ask. No matter how much money you have,it ain't enough.

I also picked up a Animals "Winds of Change" CD for less than 10 bucks. Eat your hearts out.

The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway!!!!!! - Way ahead of it's time. Genesis declined not so much when Gabriel left, Trick and Wind and Wuthering were among some of their best work, but once Steve Hackett left, that's when it went downhill.

Trumping all on the list is Amazing Rhythm Aces, "Too Stuffed to Jump".

Was it them,or the Atlanta Rhythm Aces (same group?) who had the song,"Third Rate Romance,Low-rent Rondevous"? I LOVED (and lived) that song. It ranks right up there with Jimmy Buffet's "Why don't we get drunk and screw?"

Speaking of Buffett,he deserves to be on this list. Wouldn't want to irritate the Parrot Heads. Besides,I've adopted "A Pirate Turns 40" as my personal theme song."The cannons don't thunder,there's nothing to plunder,I'm a over 40 victim of fate."
