As a woman, (last I checked), hasn't this "We are equal" thing promoted incidents as this? Just as we say men can't have it both ways, neither can we. The idea of "mixed company" suggests there's a difference and shades of the delicate female ears come to the forefront. Yes, there's an unspoken sense of respect and manners in our society, and no one would want to behave that way in front of children. Since it was adults in your scenario, I'd be embarassed for the person and realize he put his desire for attention over everyone else's desire for enjoyment.

If anything, Feminism has made sex easier to get than a decent backrub or a decent pot roast, for that matter...

yeah, try talking about submission to a bunch of libs and feminazis! They tried to attack Promise Keepers at a roundtable here a few years back. A number of men who ARE promise keepers attended and a group of black brothers came in during that time and ended up being ministered to by a black promise keeper/pastor from Nigeria who was there. He started a discipleship group among these young men. There IS hope, even on a liberal campus.

They are MOST likely to be Christian and homeschooled.

That's exactly the response I hoped for but I am surprised to see about half of you answered this way. In my, admittedly few months here, I have rarely seen a man do what you all say you would do when someone posts a scantily clad picture into a thread.
This board is mixed company also and while your wife or date or daughter may not be here, do not the women who are deserve the same consideration?
The article says "Men Must Champion Feminine Women". It doesn't specify that the woman be your own. You all agree that the behavior is inappropriate, even outrageous in mixed company. Do you protest when you see it happen here? Sources please....(grin). Or to you hold back, so as not to be pilloried as a prude, to remain on of the guys?
Could it be that the deficit of femininity may be related to a recession in the amount of true masculinity?

Sounds like a perfect description of *my* wife :)))

You are unfeminine, or more properly merely misguided in the same fashion as most of the age, for thinking that money, rather than your time and love, is what will provide "the best" for your children. If you think 3 year olds want big SUVs in the drive and beanie babies, but a nanny or daycare - instead of their mother and a worn out blanket - then you haven't (yet, I suspect) much sympathy for the concerns of children.
"For the children", we must save and scrap the plunder. Right, we aren't class conscious or status conscious, it is our non-existent progeny who are. We won't spend any of the money from our "two incomes" shopping at Needless Markups, or buying vehicles the size of small houses, or vacationing in the Caribbean, or getting our hair done, or on season tickets to A B or C. No sirree, every dime will go in trust to get non-existent Buffy and Keath into Yale. Where they too can be taught the freedom and self-empowerment of class-conscious money-grubbing, and how much more important that is than mere home and family - or whatever postmodernist nonsense will have captured the place by then.
I am not picking on you, understand, but on the misguided priorities of our whole age and time. Money is for the comfort of animal life, necessary in moderation to support higher purposes but distinctly secondary. We have put the means before the end. The place to draw the line is where pursuit of status or luxury endangers things truly higher. No amount of status or wealth is worth what we as a society are presently doing to our children.

Beautiful essay and pretty much follows scripture on the roles of men and women. Yep. And it works. (not a surprise, since it follows scripture :)
