Somebody ping me when the next one comes up!....

Uh, uglybiker, would that be when the next tread comes up, or the next feminine woman?

Whether I got a 'puck in the ear' or not, I'd look forward to the opportunity just to hear you say it! ;-)

How perfect the world would be for women, if only men all had IQs of 75, had no wishes, wants, or dreams of their own, but only lived to serve.

Isn't this what is asked of divorced men?

I know. It's empty headed essays like his that make me grateful for the freedom feminism has given from oppressors like himself.

***Yeah, I'll agree with this greatest load of codswallop when I have a `loving' husband, who will pay for my `femininity'. Allow me to stay at home to rear the children. Keep me in the manner in which I'm accustomed.
In the meantime, I'll keep plodding along at the career I've worked hard at for the last 11 years. And use the college education that my ultra-conservative loving and feminine mother worked three jobs to give me.***

Happygal - you are a woman after my own heart!!! There is nothing more frustrating to me than hearing over and over again that because I work hard in my career I can never be thought of as "marriage material," willing to take care of a husband and family. I'm making something of myself for the time being and not waiting around for someone to "rescue" me.

If men were smart, they would look for those women that don't sit around waiting for Prince Charming to arrive, but actually try to better themselves until the opportunity to marry and raise children presents itself. These women are usually more emotionally mature and financially independent. That does not mean they don't need a man, but just means that, when they do marry, they aren't burdening their husbands with debt and can help them better handle the challenges that families inevitably face.

What I have found, however, is that the very moment I tell a man about my career/education level, he becomes intimidated and insecure, and then automatically presumes that's all I care about. I would love nothing more than to be a wife and mother, and would gladly give up my career aspirations to achieve that goal. I'm not saying that I wouldn't still need to find ways to challenge my mind, but priorities change. The sad thing is that I've stopped dating because I'm tired of the attitude I get from the men I meet.
