VANITY - Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, what solution would YOU propose?
Just Me
Posted on 12/04/2001 3:22:18 PM PST by Republican Party Reptile
I'm asking the question looking for replies and discourse that (hopefully) can raise above suggesting wiping one side or the other off the face of the earth, locking people up in a police state, or expelling either side from the land they occupy today (where would they go? and how would that really solve the problem other then pushing the problem somewhere else?).
What do you think is a viable long term solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and how would one go about making it happen?
As someone who is not of Judeo-Christian-Islamist cultural/religion background, I don't have an religious or idealogical dog in the fight. I have heard and read about the grievences and claims and counter-claims from both sides, while I sympathize, I'll admit that the grievences are not personal to me. I have spent a lot of time in both Israel and Arab nations due to work. I got along and liked the people I came in contact with in Israel and in the Arab states. I think the state of Israel has a right to a secured and peaceful existence, and I think the same for a Palestinian state. But I don't profess to have any idea how this can be realistically accomplished.

Are Israeli's not allowed to have nice real estate? Not when their army is setting booby traps on Arab land that kills 5 school kids. Thats just too uncouth. Its pretty obvious that the real estate agents want more property on which to build expensive condos. The more Arabs they frighten off, the more land they get cheap.
There are millions of ads for real estate in the US.
Yeah, but here its illegal to plant booby traps that kill kids to chase their parents off their land.
Dont you see whats going on in Israel? Its becoming a corrupt Bibleland theme park, and big bucks are involved. It will be the worlds largest theme park, but there are still a few millions Arabs to be run off their land first.
Theyve already got legalized prostitution, and now they are putting in Casinos.....
ISRAEL CASINO
ISRAEL COMPUTER CASINO FOR RUSSIANS
Location, location, location.
Once again, you are making absolutely no sense...
Our tax dollars are being used to defend this theme park.

That's simply bologna Fred. YOu make 2 posts talking about USA TAXPAYERS FUNDING ISRAELI CONDO REAL ESTATE IN ISRAELI CITIES. You can't back that claim up so you start talking about something else then say the aid we give Israel (which is almost all military aid, I may add, military aid worth a considerable amount, but in the form of weapons and arms, not outright cash)

WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH YOUR CLIAM THAT US TAXPAYERS ARE SUBSIDIZING CONDOS FOR AMERICAN JEWS TO GO LIVE IN IN ISRAEL.

Fred hates Israel because it is moving towards casino gambling. That is the most sensible thing he has said in a long time. It still is on the insanity side of the ledger though.

I guess he's not very good at black jack...

And the condos would prove to be bad investments if the Jews weren't in the neighborhood, get it?

It's impossible to deal with him. He makes outrageous cliams, and when pressed to prove them, he changes the subject to talk about stuff that has been gone over 4000 posts by now (the IDF "booby trap") because he can't defend his taxpayer condo claim...

Israel is controlled by the real estate developer lobby. Didn't you know that?

And I bet the Jews even control that too!
To: College Repub
The only thing the Jews don't control is the law firm I am with. There are 3 of us, all WASPS, although I think we are all symps, so what's the difference?

This thread seems to be the local meeting of the Jews for Genocide. What an embarrassment they are to humanity.

Uh Oh, the truth leaks outI believe Israels unwillingness to acknowledge Palestinian claims stems from its rarely discussed shame over the 1948 war. During that conflict, Jewish soldiers forced or encouraged some 750,000 Palestinians to flee their homes. Through a process some today would label ethnic cleansing, Israel seized control over vast swaths of Palestinian land and denied refugees their right to return.

The only problem with your link is that it is 13 months old, and since then Arafat et al told the most reasonable Barak, who reached out, and is the subject of the kudos in your linked piece, to take a hike and stuff it up his ass. You really need to keep current Fred.

That is a very fair and nonbias site indeed...

Arafat isn't going to be around much longer. He's standing in the way of progress.
