The above web link describes the GONER VIRUS/WORM and the potential damage.
The good news is that YOU MUST OPEN THE SCREENSAVER ATTACHMENT TO BE INFECTED.
Evidence that your PC is infected is the presence of the file GONE.SCR
The McAfee Web Server is overloaded by people trying to get into the site.
Here is a CLICKABLE link to the McAfee web site:
Goner Virus Info from McAfee (12/04/2001)
This virus has appeared on the Internet just today (Tuesday, December 4, 2001).
I can email people information about the virus, but I have it in Microsoft Doc/RTF format currently because it had pictures and graphics about what appears on the PC.

Yes, you're correct.
I was being punny.;-)
But did you know that a gnome in addition to being one of those "little people", can also be a pithy, proverbial saying or general truth. [from the Greek-gnome-thought, maxim].
Nome in Greek means province.[from the Greek -nomos- to divide, graze]

Sales is only difficult when it comes to the "gut check".
What about the prospecting?
What about the pre-call planning?
What about the preperation of the presentation?
What about the service issues that must be dealt with while trying to sell?
What about the numbers that need to be hit, and then exceeded?
What about the boorish clients that you must tolerate since they are the purchasers?
What about the customers that can barely speak English, and look at you like you're the idiot?
What about the paperwork and analysis that must be done while everyone else is watching "Friends" or at the bar?
What about the ridiculous traffic and other nightmares if your territory is somewhere like NYC?
What about the competitor that brings in a bimbo/mimbo to steal your business ?(refer back to the boorish customer)
What about your customer service team that nowadays seems to be staffed by a bunch of ig-nants that can't wait until 5 o'clock so the can get the hell out of "work"?
What about the screaming you have to endure by customers that do not care that there was a "manufacturing problem" and their order is delayed?
What about the screaming customers blaming you because shippers cannot find CDL/Hazardous drivers to ship chemicals to the pharmaceutical company in Westchester Cty that had to shut down their core facility because they didn't recieve their 20 cases of methanol, acetonitrile, and acetone?
What about the increase in your forecast because your too successful, and making too much money?
What about when they cut a sales rep and make you take over their territory?
What about the feeling you get like you want to blow your brains out because your voicemail is full agian after just checking it two hours ago?
What about the customers that tell you that "sales is easy, you're always playing golf"
What about your commisions being taxed at ahigher rate because "you really don't need that money anyway"?
In short, a summation of why I left Fisher Scientific, and went back to doing mortgages...
I feel better now! ;)

Which is why I felt it important enough to put in "Breaking News" for FreeRepublic.
Somebody complained about this being posted before I posted it, but it was not posted in breaking news (so it would be an eye catcher...)

I've used the Norton Enterprise edition for Exchange but to block by extension can cause more problems than it's worth, politically and socially in the office space. I have not been in a position where I can rule over the end users with an iron fist. I do service work and therefore typically do not work for the company that owns the network and such heavy handed solutions never go well with the customer.

Sorry to hear that. Maybe you can hit the really nasty (and non-business related extensions) like .scr, .bat, .vbs, etc... I can give you a list if you like.

Thanks once again;-)
