Ok. The first part was why some Black people seem to think the feelings they have towards Whites are justified and why they are not truly racist. The other part was my saying that people seemed kind of programmed when it comes to labeling people, i.e. acting White or talking Black. They seem more prejudiced because they have the notions in their head but not necessarily racist because they don't genuinely believe in these notions or hate someone because of their race.

I'm sorry, but I maintain that when 99.7% of one race votes as a block for a candidate, something's fishy.... Especially when that candidate is of the same race as the block of voters and when the candidate blatantly feeds racist ads to those same people to whip them into a frenzy.

What would YOU call it if whites did the same thing?

Personally, I found the entire spectacle extremely discouraging and disheartening. We must ALL examine a candidate's record - not merely react to dirty politics with a clear racist theme.

By the way, one of my dearest friends is Black and she swears most Blacks still have that "plantation mentality" which means they're led around by their emotions, fed to them by the "massa" (ie, Democrats). Her name is Joyce Smith and she's one of FR's biggest supporters. She could write a book on the subject because she's "been there" herself. Most old guard FReepers can back me up on this one.
