Funny you should ask - when I pull up in a driveway, I always honk in a particular pattern: "beep-beep (pause) beep-beep". This, I figured is the automotive equivelent of ringing a doorbell twice: "ding-dong (pause) ding-dong". My customers have gotten used to it and leave the 12 gauge inside the house now when they come out to get their parcels..........

BTW, too bad that ticket was a loser. Maybe tomorrow. Still, we've won $5.00 for FreeRepublic so far.

LOL! Yeah, me, too! Mostly it's just protective dogs. Today I saw some really beautiful deer including a very large buck who must have had 6 points on each side. Of course, there were the usual flocks of wild turkeys trotting across the road, too. Everybody alse seems to have nestled in for the winter. We're having a very wet winter this year and the snow level may well reach the valley floor during the night.
