President Bush had meetings today with Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon regarding the latest attacks in Israel. Bush strongly condemned that attacks and asked for Yasser Arafat to take immediate action to stop future ones. This evening, the President and First Lady attended the Kennedy Center Honors paying tribute to actress Julie Andrews, pianist Van Cliburn, music maestro Quincy Jones, actor Jack Nicholson and opera singer Luciano Pavarotti. Yes, but somewhere I think I saw an original edition with a man's first name. That's what threw me off. Not to mention that I never knew she wrote! I understand her daughter does too. Even though she doesn't sing anymore, I just saw her in Princess Diaries and was still so impressed. Singing, dancing, acting, and writing - what talent.

Stumbled on the special Sunday thread by accident.
Yes, a very compassionate gesture to Sharon by our President. It was also good to see the Cheney's. Dick looks good in a tux, doesn't he?
And, of course, the Bush's looked great. Both couples are so obviously in love, it's good to see.

What a delightful surprise, Rintense. And what a gorgeous gown Laura is wearing. She's dressed in perfect taste for a concert.
I have a small favor to ask of the Bush Babes and Bucks. I have a medical exam tomorrow that has me kinda scared. I've never asked for prayers ANYWHERE on the internet before, but I sure would appreciate a few. It gives me more courage just knowing you're out there.

Geez...what a handsome couple they are. Pic #1 is a killer. Love the way Laura is gently reaching over to touch W's hand. What a determined walk he has too. His stride is almost as wide as his knees when he sits. What a man.
I just love Spot. If I can't be Laura, I'd sure like to be Spot. All that lovin' from W...sigh.
Great Dose tonight. Such a treat for Sunday. Anyone know when the Kennedy Ctr stuff will be broadcast?

Nice Sunday night surprise. Laura looks especially beautiful, but I notice that everyone is a bit somber......and rightly so with the horrors being visited on the world. What a heavy burden the President is carrying these days. With the world in turmoil the pigmy dems trot out their party-first spitefulness against him.
Just seeing the Bushes and Cheneys revives me when I am faint of heart.
