My son is in the Air Force, in Uzbekistan I believe.
He thinks he'll be home in a couple of weeks . . . Thank God!

I think that's the general idea Marines have - they do their job so we really can feel (and be)safer.
Seems to me admiring the work they've put into their incredible bodies is a "patriotic" thing to do. :) Plus, sincere prayers for their safe and sound return are sure to help.

Think this thread might be an entertaining link on the Canteen for our military?
To: innocentbystander
I'm going to print it to show to a few Marine buddies. Please do, I'd love for every Marine out there to know how much they're appreciated and admired.
And if there's away to let the Marines in the pictures posted know - please post it.

I always get a thrill out of seeing a serviceman. Especially, when they call me Ma'am. I guess that's why I found the picture of the "old lady" falling off the couch so amusing.
To: World'sGoneInsane
I really have had to "fan myself" and catch my breath several times on this thread. So when Sarah posted the women on the couch I laughed hysterically.

"Think this thread might be an entertaining link on the Canteen for our military?" I don't know, CM.
The ladies have slobbered on this one so much it's barely readable.
LOL!

Well, as a man, I didn't slobber, but I'm extremely proud!
As an old grunt, I know they appreciate all the slobber they can get.

A Day Off!If I remember correctly (from another thread) they've had two days off in the last 60.

Are you saying that freeper gals will be lined up at the docks waiting for the guys to arrive home? There might be a few divorces and breakups in the works.
To: d4now
Oh my. Is it getting warm in here? :) Err.. any more pics?
