We need the stewardship of 5,000 Free Republic members to insure the continuation of the Free Republic Life Form!
Jim Robinson said in yesterday's post: "My projections are that our regular monthly expenses for next year will be running in the neighborhood of $22,000 per month, or approximately $264,000 total for the year. This means we will need to raise approximately $66,000 per quarter."
If 5,000 Free Republic members who believe in paying their own way and that no free lunch ever exists, pledge $5/month. Jim's goals and needs will be quickly surpassed!
5,000 good stewards of Free Republic pledging $5/month will total $75,000 per quarter. That would allow Jim/John a little breathing room!
Many of us donate more per month than that. So please don't reduce your donation. We just need 5,000 regular pledgers to make things easier for Jim.
Are there 5,000 good Stewards out there who can afford $5/month to keep alive the Free Republic Life Form?
One way to afford this is to cancel your subscription to your left wing fish wrap or bird cage liner. Donate half of that monthly cost to your favorite charity and the rest to Free Republic. If you do this, you remove your money from the enemies of America and invest it with the friends of America, Free Republic! That would be a double winner for America!
Become one of the 5,000 Freepers who believe that there is no Free Republic lunch and that only parasites want something for free! Sign up for $5/month on a monthly auto payment plan!
Begging has been elevated to an art form by the professional fundraisers; as much as I enjoy reading all these conflicting and conflicted posts here on a regular basis I still feel that the detractors of this site take great pleasure in this quarterly ritual that only fuels the engines of criticism and serves in no small way to detract from our status as a grass-roots group of concerned citizens.
That having been said, I wish your campaign the speediest success.
$25,000... a month.
As Lady Jag pointed out with her great grahpic, if everyone donated $5/month there would be no freepathons.
We would still have controversy, conflicting opinions and brown shirted liberal trolls pretending to be conservatives.

"... This is a wonderful description of what Free Republic really is. It is a living and evolving Life Form to battle the left wingers and those who would destroy this country!
The Free Republic Life Form enables us to discover the truth about what is happening. We can avoid the spin of the major mediots as they work 24/7 to weaken this country. We come to the Free Republic Life Form to find the truth! ...
Free Republic needs a constant infusion of cash to keep the Free Republic Life Form alive, viable and to grow. If we believe in Free Republic, we must donate each month or quarterly to keep this incredible life form alive...
Good stewardship is what this world needs, not good intentions. Good conservative stewards will insure that the Free Republic Life Form continues to grow, be viable and thrives!"
If you're going to figure in nickels don't forget about leap year...
I figure everything in dog-nickles. There are seven dog-nickles to a nickle.
I care enough to be a monthly supporter BUMP
Thanks for your bump and monthly supporter care!
Jeez...dog nickles? That's tough...gotta be a rocket neurologist to figure that out.
Would either of you gentlemen like to anwwer the question below:
I'm a relatively new member and I've donated many times. I also have a small consulting business and run many web sites. In general, monthly expenses for a big web site run a few hundred bucks. If you include the labor to maintain and moderate I could see how you might get to a few thousand. I'm having a really hard time understanding how it could cost $22K per month. If you're looking for some technical expertise in obtaining a setup that would reduce your costs, please contact me.
That boy has LBJ's ears.
Yeah, but his eyes are open now.
