We revere Jesus as a great prophet and the messiah of God.But they also rever the prophet Mohammed, who as far as I can see was a ruthless despot, a military aggressor and conquerer, and a rapist.
I am not a Christian, but as I understand it, Jesus never killed anyone, mounted a military attack on others' territory, or forced 6 year old girls into a lifetime of sexual slavery under some weird Muslim doctrine of "marriage."
Islam teaches that Jesus never did die, but that God took him to heaven. The Quran (Koran) teaches that Jesus will return, then follow Muhammed (the man with the 14 wives), live for 40 years, and then die. The Quran does state that Jesus was without sin. It is Jesus death on the cross that gives us hope of eternal life. Islam is like Satan, in that he could not stand the blood of Jesus, which saves us from sin. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin. And he sacrificed his life for us that we may be forgiven, and no animal sacrifice is needed.
Satan wanted the honor, praise, and glory that belonged to Jesus alone. Now here comes Muhammed wanting the same thing, the honor, the praise, the glory of Christ, and even having the gall to state that Jesus, the sinless one, will follow him and be a Muslim. If that is not blasphemy, I have never heard any thing more blasphemous.
It needs to be kept in mind, that Islam has absolutely no proof that Muhammed really met an angel. And even if he met an angel, there is no proof that that angel came from God. If one has read the bible, he knows that Satan often appears as an angel of light. This is what I think happened.
