There must be a strong concern about smallpox for the government to take this step. Still, it is not that much money, considering the cost of the war.

On Fox News they said it was awarded to an ENGLISH company! My first thought was anger that our government gives the money to England when our companys need help! This article doesn't mention it.

"But the vaccine will not be used to immunize Americans immediately against smallpox, a disease that was declared eradicated worldwide in 1980. Rather, it will be kept in a government stockpile for use in the event of a terrorist attack with the smallpox virus.", What makes these stupid bastards think they'll have time to immunize everyone once a smallpox attack occurs. They evidently think they'll be able to rush vaccine to outbreak areas as they occur and stamp out epidemics. Better to let they initial victims die than to "preemptively" innoculate. These people are so f@$king stupid...the same mindset that initially halted the innoculation of newborns 30 years ago. Playing God with citizens lives...they deserve to be hung.
