Thanks for breaking it down(reply #384) so nicely.

Actually, my participation ..... makes FR more valuable . If it weren't for us it would be useless. So how much is Jim going to pay us to post articles? Are you serious??? What is your reason for dialing www.freerepublic.com? I see no logic in even looking at this site if the value to you is a big goose egg "0"

So I've been relegated to the waste bin because you don't like my opinion? How very democratic of you.

I am going back to
IRC. I mean it. I am going back. Take my word about setting up a new Limbaugh chat-channel.
I will get a few free servers and plug some bots. It will be the best!
To: Jim Robinson
I wouldnt know what i'd do with my computer if you went off line Jim.
Free Republic is the first thing i do after making coffee in the morning,in fact Free Republic was the very first website i typed in my browser when i first went online.
Rush Limbaugh had mentioned FR on his show, this was back in 1997 and i alway's kept FR in the back of my mind and when i finally recieved a new puter for christmas and entered cyber space you and FR became my home.
Please stay Jim you provide a valuable service for people out there looking for the truth. That is FR ( truth),
a loyal freeper to the end,suzyq5558

"..free to run his website.."
That's the problem you see... People who yap about how 'free' FR is or isn't want to freeload, tell the owner how to do it, yet can't 'do it' themselves.
This place has a lot of ugly people that wander in from time to time, claiming to be 'conservatives' - are nothing of the sort - and dedicate their time making a mess of themselves and the forum. I'm personally glad they get the boot... it keeps the place sane, and the most attractive place of its kind on the Internet.

If you have evidence or first hand knowledge of this supposed waste of $100,000 FReeper dollars, put it forth.
present draconian regime of censorship, banishment
Its their website, it can't be called censorship... its not draconian for the owner to make the rules.

Not because I don't agree with you; because you're too cheap to pay your share, just like a damn liberal.

My God, can anyone imagine what it would be like to have to go thru something like what happened Sept. 11th and not have FR here? This is the first place I went. FR got me thru that day. The first and best news from every corner of the globe all on one site. Personal accounts from people across the country. This site HAS to remain in place.

$10.00 a month should be OK...perhaps a separate page with paid adverts...or "useful links" as paid entries....sorted by categories if there a too many for a page.

Torie is a "he." Jim is trying to ride a rather wild stallion. It is not easy. What you and I enjoy may simply not be what his larger constituency wants. One thing I do that you don't, is not to complain too much in public. That is my choice. You made yours. That legal bill thing is painful. Who knows the true facts. Maybe Jim was a bit naive about litigation. It is hell typically for the litigants. Trust me on that.
I do miss you (when you are the good Arator rather than the plaintive one), and of course Clarity (who had certain Neo-con tendencies bless him, and was as smart as a whip, but then he was a lawyer :) ). Cheers, and all the best.

I like the way you expressed you opinion, and the opinion. But it doesn't go far enough. FR will be a better site when it becomes a subscription site. I am sick to death of the riff raff and don't come around nearly as much as I used to. I pretty much ignored the place all summer. Not only do I despise the junk threads I loathe the nazi threads. Almost all of this will go away if a substantial subscription is charged. If FR cannot exist without being cheap ... how good is it?

Have *YOU* turned into a Freeper ( some old troll that rides the back of a complaint department?)What the heck does that mean? Is that what you think of your fellow forum members?
Gracious, no wonder you're not happy here.
