Why not have advertising and banner ads to cover costs? Also, I'd pay $10.00 a month to subscribe to FR. It's the best thing on the web!

Keep FR up and running. So what that there are FR bashers out there. Who cares. If your site wasn't effective and well used they wouldn't be bashing. Envy. Let them disrupt we can handle it. We have formed a real community with real opportunity to express our ideas and we have a genuine core of great people here.

Charge a monthly fee. I'm all for whatever works to keep FR alive. FR is not a publically held company and your finances are your business and if you should make a profit, well profit isn't a dirty word and you have danmed well earned it.

Jim, I think we should wait until after the 2004 elections before we make any rash decisions about disbanding. No sense in making hasty decisions! However, those Freepers that have the wherewithal to do a monthly contribution I would ask you to do so hastily. I'm sure accounting would be simpler knowing exactly what was coming in each and every month. Jim, thanks for starting Free Republic and may God continue to bless...

Keep Free Republic going. Anyone who does a lot of good is going to have detractors. Anyone who leads is going to get sniping. The more effective you are the more complaints and whining there will be.

There are many people who need this website me included.
The least any of us who use this site can do is stand behind it. Even better is to help support it.

But I notice........you don't address those coming to FR for the purpose of disruption. And it is very much a two-way street, isn't it?
