And "FR Lives . . . Long live FR!" back atcha!
To: Jim Robinson
Please Jim, be like the energizer bunny. We need this site as much as we need a computer
To: OneidaM
very well thank you.
HE looks kinda like I pictured...
To: Jim Robinson
I see a lot of people asked to continue the FR, and I will add my voise too.
I once thought of leaving, and I was talked into staying. So I am asking the same now.
I know the FR started as your dream. Don't let that be destroyed by them.
What is more important? Thousands of people who beg you to keep on going or the few whiners? I doubt people really care what they are saying, so just hold the dream!
Hold The Dream
When you're lost and lonely
And you feel you can't go on
In the blink of an eye
You could throw it all away
You can turn your world around
Show them all what you can do
Just believe, and trust your heart
To see you through
A dream so real
You can feel it in the palm of your hand
So hang onto tomorrow
And never look back again
Hold the dream
Don't ever let it go
Hold the dream
Don't ever let it get you down
When they turn their back on you
Just do what feels right
You can find what you're looking for
Don't get lost along the way
Always be strong, your heart can't be wrong
Don't give up and your dreams will come true
A dream so real
You can feel it in the palm of your hand
So hang onto tomorrow
And never look back again
Hold the dream
Don't ever let it go
Hold the dream
Hang onto tomorrow
Hold the dream

Ok...and I'll leave you with this:
Steiger's Law": "People involved in a structure spend more time and energy maintaining that structure than in working toward its goals."
To: Yehuda
Stay of course....it's like Fox news...there's no real substitute....and FR is much faster.

We need this site as much as we need a computer I'd say, if I have no FR, what the f*** is my computer for?
It's the place where I can gulp a little bit fresh air after throwing away in disgust the last issue of my soooo liiiiberal paper (you have no choice here in NZ, it's either a liberal rag or nothing).
I vote for FR staying with all my four limbs and the smaller, but so important fifth one. And to hell with the so called cencorship...

terilyn:
So I took a gander over at LP. Funny, there are about 20 people that spend all day agreeing with each other.Anti-freepers are people with no life but to wake in the morning check FR, cut and paste a post or two run back to LP and post it.
I'm guessing you haven't spent much time over there. The antifreepers are kept locked away in their own little cage, where they can snipe to their heart's content without disrupting the news forum. And contrary to terilyn's assertion, there is real debate over there.
I agree with Bob J and BADJOE. There is ample room for a Liberty Post or a Lucianne.com. The more the merrier!
To: OneidaM
Darn, damn, crap, shoot....wait till I can find out who he/she is...LOL. Are you kidding? It was obviously jj.
To: OneidaM
ROTFLMAO..never mind,...I know who it is...HAHAHAH how stupid of me. LOL! Never mind my last post! ;o)
To: terilyn
If Jim charged a nickel for every post or article that was copied and pasted from FR to LP, he'd never have to have another fundraiser. I think Jim needs more than $.15. I don't think I've seen more than three.
You love FR, and that's great! But there's no need for anyone to trash other forums. Each can serve its own purpose.
To: Jim Robinson
Once again, a good news source with sone thoughtful and some inane analysis (Of course, the analysis I agree with is thoughtful and that I don't like is inane by definition :) and with a minimum of flame wars, has to stay!!
To: Jim Robinson
I appreciate this site and hope that it continues operating far into the future.
Personally, I am not interested in the the discussions or accusations regarding management decisions or financial issues. As far as I'm concerned, it's nobody's business but yours, and those you ask for input.
Thanks Jim and John.

Agree with your pay for use concept but suggest that you set a minimum price per month. Some would spend more. There are not many sites I would pay to visit. This is one of them.

This is the best site for getting the real news....keep it ALIVE
To: strela
LibertyPost is a joke. They appear to be essentially a bunch of soreheads who are jealous of the success you have wrought here. There's no sport in trolling them either; using a broadaxe on a kitten is more challenging. Have you spent any time in the news forum, or have you just gone slumming in the "biker bar"? LP is in its infancy, and will develop its own niche just as Lucianne.com did. The news forum is already hopping quite a bit more than it was a month ago.
For the record, I am a monthly financial contributor to FR and will continue to be so. LP will not take anything away from FR. It is not a zero sum game. The more such forums there are, the bigger the "pie" will get. This can only be a good thing for the conservative movement.

I'd say, if I have no FR, what the f*** is my computer for?ROFLMAO. Very well said.
To: Jim Robinson
I'm here if you need me. Always have been; always will.
To: Jim Robinson
Jim,
If this disappears, we wil lose another outlet of free speech. Especially come November, 2002 when CFR takes effect.
