Good point! Never thought of it that way!

Folks I sure dont agree with everything said on here and there are a lot of you who dont agree with me but this is an open line of communication and in most cases at least I respect those on here who disagree and feel they feel the same.I havent run across any of the problem makers yet I guess but for Gods sake and Americas sake lets not let this sight close down. I am retired and on a fixed income and I will keep paying my share or what I can, dont let go for the good of Amercia. We are almost losing rights daily now in America, keep the faith and the open line of communication.

Uh uh, don't even think about pulling FR. I've lurked since '98 and can't imagine starting my day without my FR news and commentary fix. You tell us how much you need and I will bump my donation accordingly. This is the best news site on the web, with the best commentary on the web -- I'm addicted!
To: Jim Robinson
I see that I will be 3,484 or close to it. I check with FR almost every day. I will continue to support it $$ as long as it continues.

You tell us how much you need and I will bump my donation accordingly.FR needs $1,000,000. Thanks! ;-)

FR needs $1,000,000. Thanks! ;-) :::::looking for my mega bucks checkbook::::::
Drat, it's missing, would you accept a few shares of greatly devalued stock?

If we didn't have Free Republic, where would all good conservatives go to discuss the issues of the day and clear up all the little discrepancies in reporting by the liberal press? This site keeps a lot of us sane.

The answers to the two questions are "No" and "No."
Free Republic will never make everyone happy. It's kind of like trying to make your wife happy.
I don't know why FR would be considered a fraud. It would have to be portraying itself as something it is not in order to be a fraud.
Is it time for FR to go away? I don't think it is possible to make FR go away. I don't think you could beat it to death with a club at this point.
Keep up the good work. You have given the world something really special and necessary!
To: Jim Robinson
Jim, I applaud you for your perspicacity and vision and I say the naysayers should "shut up and quit whining about it." I never did understand why some folks want to screw up what someone else is doing if they don't like it instead of going somewhere else and opening their OWN place and running it like they want.

Maybe I'm a dim bulb, but why are we re-hashing this from last year?
I know the about concern for the disruptor types and the "censorship" issue some have a problem with, but the original post from last year has me confused. What's up?
subterfuge

Oh, I'm supposed to vote?
Ok, I vote for FR to stay. And I've got 400 people sitting here with me and they all vote that FR stays. No, really, they're here, all 400 of them and they vote STAY.
To: Jim Robinson
FR MUST stay! I don't know HOW you've put up with the disruptors for so long (although we do have fun, in a twisted sort of way, with them....they're so "EASY"!!!!), and I don't know why this is being discussed again, but please, don't ever take away FR!!!!
To: Jim Robinson
What ever you decide, Jim, is alright with Mrs. Submareener and me. We will continue to support FreeRepublic.com financially right until you decide to stop doing it.

I vote STAY!
To: Jim Robinson
I vote for it to go away.
If the main stream press, schools and gvoernment agencies stopped pushing the liberal biased view points 24/7, Freerepublic could die a natural death and we could all go back to work without having to constantly look over our shoulders.

Did I miss something ... where is it going??
