When I read that line about Hitlery I slapped my forehead and cried out "Doh!" Why didn't we brilliant Freepers ever think of that? She is on the money...

This woman should be President of Afghanistan.

Now THAT is a liberated woman. Bump for a great image for young women everywhere.

Plenty of merit in her argument. However, she appears to be applying a different standard to herself than to the women of her country at large. I would ask, does the Ms. General wear a burqa? She comes from a powerful and probably rich family. She's political and outspoken, the opposite values symbolized by the burqa. Is that attire reserved for uneducated housewives, or is Ms. General espousing attending university in a burqa?

"She can't even defend her own rights against her husband..." This is just toooo delicious!
Of course, we all know this marriage is a sham in the first place, put together for political purposes, but still this is so funny!

Of Hillary Clinton, another supposed advocate, she simply says: She cannot defend her own rights against her husband. How can she defend the rights of my country? Or ours! Time to unelect her for poor job performance.

General Siddiq will have to learn that Western feminists and their liberal media supporters always obsess over the least important point of any issue.

Republicans should have her speak at fund raisers.

There's no picture with the Times article, but when I saw the story last night it was accompanied by an image of a woman in a burqa. It may or may not have been her; I don't remember if there was a caption or not.
