DFU is BIGGER that the Beatles, and makes way more sense!! Hey Douggie, I heard you on Sean Hannity the other day asking for the song! When he introduced the caller as "Doug, from upland California" I started screaming at my husband "That's Doug from Upland!! It's Doug!!" I got so excited he nearly had to pull the truck over. It was a Freeper moment...

There's hope for us right-of-center folkies, yet!
A few days ago, there was a thread, Peace groups find anti-war message is hard to sell which noted "Marchers [in Seattle] struggled to find appropriate songs to sing during the procession from one Capitol Hill cathedral to another. But the peace-song playlist was of golden oldies, stuck in the Vietnam era."
We're winning the battle of the songs and I think that is more important to the nation's psyche than most people realize.

Will never forget. God Bless you and your families. Thinking of you, especially during the Holiday Season.

They were playing the song over and over again on the Shawn Hannity Show broadcast tonight in Seattle. A wonderful, poinant ballad. Great job brothers!

Outstanding work! I will be placing orders for several of these CDs. Have you sent a copy to Howie Carr of WRKO in Boston? He has a syndicated conservative talk radio show in the MA/CT area M-F, 3-7PM. I'll e-mail this thread to him.

Jim Quinn at WRRK FM in Pittsburgh has been playing it multiple times all week long, and has closed out his show with it on Mon and Wed am. He loves the song. He also gave out the web address firemansong.com. He has several appearances upcoming at a large Irish bar (don't we all) and will most likely play the song there, too.
The War Room show is also live and archived on the net at www.warroom.com.
Drink up, everyone.
