Hey, there ya go - "Exeter Terwilliger".

If you don't like that one, how about Nimbus Buffputty, or the WORST names in our family tree, "Walburga", and "Kinkel Dewey"?

In keeping with my suggestion of "Boutros Boutros Terwilliger", the child could be named "Ghali Ghali Terwilliger", or "Boutros Ghali Ghali Terwilliger" (B'Ghali G. Terwilliger).

Yes, the Eugene is a real irritant to my Dad. I once called him Eugene and I will never forget the expression on his face. There used to be a listing for Hal Gross in our hometown phone book and my sister and I couldn't resist calling and asking for him, then, giggling and hanging up. We were always looking up odd names in the phone book. We never were bored. Here in Germany there is actually a weather forcaster on AFN named Imo Lack. She has a very monotonous tone of voice too.

LOL! You slipped that one in....Lance Alworth. He was an All American football player from Arkansas. I remember that my Dad actually considered naming my baby brother after him. I think he was joking around though.

Here in Germany there is actually a weather forcaster on AFN named Imo Lack

When I lived in Germany many years ago, there was an AFN announcer named John Profitt. (Actually, I don't know how his name was spelled, but the pronounciation was the same as 'profit.')

My socialist German roommates always snickered at that name.

Lord Dunsany (one of my favorite authors!) had the full name: John Edward Moreton Drax Plunkett, Lord Dunsany. The world has seldom seen his like as a wordsmith. A renaissance man, poet, explorer, hunter, soldier, and fantasist. --Boris All the names are pretty normal except for the "Drax". Maybe his mother was still in the throes of childbirth when they were naming him and they misunderstand a scream, thinking she said, "Drax."

My son had a good friend in junior high school named Junior Profit. He was named pretty aptly too. He was always selling things to my son, like his old baseball cards and stuff like that.

The Serbs have some of the most hideous names on the face of the planet. I got really, really lucky and my mother insisted on giving me a normal name. My father nearly won the argument, however - I was this close to being named Ljubitza (pronounced yoo-beat-tssa).

We have 10 kids on a flag football team and 2 are named Taylor and 2 Tyler. Not too common eh. My kids names are Sean and Nicholas. I know Nicholas is played but what can I say, my dad's nickname is Nick.

Sean and Nicholas are classic names. They get the gumbo-stamp-of-approval. It's the trendy ones that stick in one's craw.

Personally my favorite Serb name was Zorka. But that has nothing on the Czech name Bohdahnka (sp?)

LOL, good ones! In our town we have two brothers named: A Jones and Q. Jones. I always wanted to ask them if their names stood for: Answer and Question. That is their legal names though.
