We should all be so brave as those passengers. American heroes.

The recorder finally captures a hijacker crying out, "God is great!"

Somehow, I doubt that this is what was recorded. "Allah akbar" seems much more likely, and should have been translated as "Allah is great".

Allah is not God.

When the recorder picks up the first sounds of the passengers' struggle at 9:57 a.m., many on board knew from cell phone calls with loved ones that hijacked planes had crashed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

The passengers of the other three airliners would have done the same thing had they known the hijackers' plans. Chalk their inaction up to the fact that United States law eforcement agencies have done their utmost to make law-abiding citizens believe that self-defense is a crime.

A fire ax in the cockpit!?

You gotta be kidding. And all the passengers had was what? A bag of peanuts and a can of soda. Even the coffee wouldn't have been hot enough to do any good. Sheesh.
