If his plane is hijacked, Don Detrich wants the attackers to know he will consider it his "patriotic duty to get up from my seat and kick ass."
As founder of the fledgling Flight Watch Hijacking Resistance League, Detrich has urged airline passengers to fight back, using weapons from ballpoint pens to beverage carts. As his message has spread from his Web site to media outlets from coast to coast, he's heard from dozens of potential recruits eager to get on board.

Words to live by. Keeps 'em off balance.
BTW, on 9-11 I was 2000 miles from home. I flew home ASAP...and I had a plan. This lightweight woman wasn't gonna let anyone ruin my day and I was not gonna rely on anyone other than myself. I do believe, tho', that the others on my flights were thinking along the same lines. The atmosphere was pretty intense...
Also when I was flying out of San Diego to St. Louis in mid October , there was an Hispanic young man acting a little suspicious, and I didn't report him. Nothing happened on my flight, but in retropspect, I should have reported it. My wife had me take the aisle seat to keep an eye on him and I would have definitely got some good punches in if he had tried anything. The young man was flying alone and had only a back-pack with him and would leave it by his seat (at the gate, while awaiting boarding) and leave it about three feet in front of his seat (unnatented) while he went who knows where, for five or ten minutes at a time. And when it was announced the flight was being delayed, he seemed might aggitated. He just seemed out of place, and NOT behaving normal (yeah I know, not normal according to ME and Muggs my wife).
So what's my point..I should have talked to a security person to watch him, just in case!
When we arrived at Dayton.Ohio International Airport, on last leg of flight, I saw the National Guard people milling around giggling and cutting up, wearing berets on their head, and I thought.WHAT A WASTE OF MANPOWER, THEY COULDN'T STOP ANYTHING FROM HAPPENING.
Surviving Jihad Johnnies should await their death penalty in body casts.
For an excellent case-study of a culture piloted into the ground by its power-addicted "leaders," written by a sympathetic eye-witness to the events, read the Gospel According to Luke and Acts of the Apostles.
I like the way you think!!!
The stylus from my PDA fits into the crotch of me hand and extends out ~2" past my thumb. It could be used to attack the eyes. My belt and its buckle could be used as a flail. The seatbelts on the plane are removeable. They can also be used as a flail. My coat could be used to trap an edged weapon. My briefcase could have made a good shield against edged weapons too. (I noticed, however, that the airline-issue, genuine polystyrene, "Norm Mineta Survival Knife" would have been useless.)
The rule of thumb, as has been mentioned elsewhere, is to fight dirty. There are no rules other than to win. Go for the eyes, bite, kick, scratch, throw headbutts, or whatever it takes. Keep pounding the other guy until he's no longer a threat. Yes, you should kick people when they're down. The guy who fights fair loses.
