Thanks John. Serious business.
Bump!

You're welcome, my friend, and good morning to you =^)

Vega, the Chilean public health official, said Banfi immediately became suspicious. ``Since there was a discrepancy between the return address in the United States and the stamp from Zurich, he turned it over to the police,'' Vega said. ...The white envelope contained no visible signs of anthrax, but when health experts swabbed the inside, they found five areas that contained the bacteria, Vega said. What did the letter say? Are they going to tell us?
Still, I think we can already say with some confidence that, whatever the letter said, the person who sent it was a non-muslim. After all, "Islam" means "Peace." It will probably turn out to be a member of the Zurich division of the VRWC trying to stir up a race war in Chile by pretending to be a muslim extremist. Yeah, that's the ticket.

And a good morning to you as well. :-)
We need to remember all of the health workers in our prayers...they have a tough and largely thankless duty.

We need to remember all of the health workers in our prayers...Absolutely -- we most certainly need to.

Yeah! Yeah! That's it! /sarcasm

Banfi, a pediatrician and infectious disease expert, received the tainted letter Nov. 13. ``It was with a lot of other letters,'' said a receptionist who gave her name only as Lucia, at Banfi's clinic in the upscale Santiago neighborhood of Las Condes."...upscale....neighborhood..." Very curious. They sent it to someone who would have a fairly good chance of investigating what it was. Why?

Regarding Ottilie Lundgren (and the female from Manhattan Eye and Ear who also died of inhalation anthrax (both from sources unknown):
Seems everything is being investigated in CT except the hospital. Isn't it possible that Ottilie did enter the hospital with pnewmonia and was dosed by a sleeper there? What the two women have in common is a hospital.

#10...Now that's a frightening thought!

After all, "Islam" means "Peace." Sorry CAR, but Islam means "Submission" not peace.

Re: Ottilie Lundgren:
Click Here I want to know why we have heard NOTHING more about this suspicious letter she brought to the hospital when she was admitted?
Also, the national news says NOTHING about the Florida postmark on the letter sent to Chili. I think that the letter may be from someone who fled the US after Sept. 11.
Also, there is a story way back on Free Republic about vials and bottles marked "anthrax bacilus" in Latin (sorry, don't remember the exact Latin spelling) taken from the refrigerator of one of the terrorists' apartments in Florida. (I think it is where Atta stayed). A few days ago, they found similar vials, marked the same way, in the bombed out ruins of a lab in Afghanistan.
Are there dots to connect here? Does anyone connect the dots?

I want to know why we have heard NOTHING more about this suspicious letter she brought to the hospital when she was admitted?Do the research -- I think that account is probably wrong from what I've seen. Every other article I've read said it was another Connecticut women who brought in a suspicious letter after the Lundgren case.

Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for the ping, JH2! This is getting curiouser and curiouser.
Too many questions...not enough answers.
To: JohnHuang2
In past cases, we heard that the new samples were biologically "indistinguishable" from the other anthrax attacks. Any word on this Swiss-Chilean sample?
To: JohnHuang2
Thanks for the ping, JH2.....several Freepers on another thread last evening had some interesting possibilities about how the spores could be spread.
One suggested via tissues (added at the factory by a sleeper agent) or in a flower bouquet (again added by a bioterrorist at the store)....both would used & discarded and both would be 'inhaled'...the flowers to enjoy the fragance & the tissues while blowing one's nose.
A baffling & frightening case!
