I convinced my family from California to fly to NYC for Christmas.

I was there at the end of June 2001 and stayed at the Financial Centre Marriott, one block form the WTC, so the area became my home for 1 week. Then I went back 1 week after 09/11. It's still hard to believe...there are NOT words to describe it.

When I was there, I saw trucks leaving Manhattan with cars smashed to about 3 feet tall -- cars of victims, cars of innocents...and suddenly for some reason, it became incredibly real...
