You were on this thread a few years ago and may know some of these answers.
-Does the 'pager' function still work? I can't get it to work, and I don't know if it's my ZoneAlarm or if it's no longer an FR option so I thought I would ask before wasting any more time.
-If it still works and you use it, does it make FR more addictive or not? ('Inquiring minds', and all that.)
-Does anyone have a link to the latest "Lexicon" thread, or is this it? (Don't go do a search -- I can do that.)
-If you don't know any of the above and you're irritated because of this ping, here's a little tidbit so you won't leave empty-handed: Did you know that the FReepers "All," "anyone," "whoever," "heyyou," "everybody," and "everyone" either aren't real people or have been inactive for over a year? (Just in case you want to use their names to ping people.) Also, if you know anyone who wants to join, tell them that "Look!", "Looky here!", and "Yo!" are still open. :-)

The "pager" has been replaced with modern 21st century technology.
Here's how it works:
1. Remove the manhole cover from the sewer closest to your hhome.
2. Squat down with your butt fully over the open sewer hole.
(dropping your shorts produces maximum results, but this
procedure is optional, depending on your lust for success.)
3. Concentrate on pager recipient's location. Then grunt, squeeze
and release massive BOOMS of pager energy directly into the
open manhole.
4. Within mere seconds, the target manhole will magically pop open,
thus notifying your targeted pager person to contact you ASAP !!!

the pager works for me when I remember to start it up, if you are using a popup blocker it wrecks havoc on the pager though
