Memo to Bill: Stay Away

Memo to Bill: Stay Away

Yonkers: As someone involved in and affected by the events of Sept. 11, I have a request for former President Bill Clinton: Please do not attend any event that involves the members of the New York City Fire Department. Do not attend any memorial service, concert or other gathering. And, most importantly, do not set foot on that hallowed site known as Ground Zero.

In my opinion (and it is one shared by most of my FDNY brethren), Mr. Clinton is the single individual in this country most responsible for the events of that infamous day. His emasculation of the military and our intelligence agencies contributed significantly to the evil perpetrated on so many innocent Americans.

Please also forward this request to his spouse and their treacherous coterie of blame-America-firsters, multiculturalists and anti-military elitists. Also, tell him that he has finally discovered his legacy: It sits as a smoldering ruin at Liberty and West Sts.

Lt. James McCaffrey, FDNY

One of the cardinal rules of writing a Letter of the Editor is brevity. Why keep going after this perfect end point?

Pure bilge again from Yehudi the lib, unsupported except by "web site reports" which have all the substance of wind-blown farts.

Since bill clinton didn't honor the late NY Catholic Cardinal's well-known wish that bill clinton not attend his funeral, I doubt he will pay attention to the firefighters.

tell him that he has finally discovered his legacy: It sits as a smoldering ruin at Liberty and West Sts.

blubba still hasn't discovered this legacy of his, but a whole lot more Americans surely are.

How can anyone who has seen what our military has done to the Taliban think that our military became "emasculated" under Clinton?

The Taliban has only 20,000 members and is in control of the poorest nation on Earth. It is barely more than a street gang (but without the streets) -- and we, the greatest superpower on the face of the Earth, nearly lost.

In terms of firepower match-up, this was basically the Lakers against St. Madeleine's Prep School girls basketball team, and the Lakers were trailing at the half-time. Someone needs to ask why. How did the military degenerate so much since the Persian Gulf War?

Obvious answer: for eight intervening years, there was an ex-hippie as Commander-in-Chief.

Ultimately we were able to win in Afghanistan -- but only by acting through local proxy troops, and only because Donald Rumsfield moved heaven and earth to get the Clintonized generals to take a break from their sensitivity training and diversity classes to actually fight a war.

Yes, we defeated the Taliban. But no, this is not the American military's most glorious moment in history. And it is time to ask why it ended up being such a bloody near thing.

What do we expect? No doubt McCaffrey is just another drunken racist Irishman, like those horrid, middlebrow trolls who had the audacity to Boo the Smartest Woman in the World at the VH-1 concert! </sarcasm off>

Every time any footage of Osama bin Laden is run on US Television, film clips of the collapse of the World Trade Center and a live shot of the still smoldering crater should also be shown. Do not ever let the two images be separated.

It's even worse. Those who put them in office are responsible. The voters who can't judge a man's character, that say it doesn't matter.

I agree and Noah Webster agrees..

"When a citizen gives sufferage to a man of known immorality, he abuses his trust; He betrays the interest of his country."-Noah Webster.
