If everyone is equal then no one deserves more than the next man in line. Right? What does deserve mean? Is everyone equal from birth? Are some created better than others? Are some born with more? Is this the difference? What is more? Is it more money? More Love? How do you quantify Love? What is it? Does it make you better? The questions of our Country.
Are these questions that can be answered? If so, why are they questions to this day? Did we create a country based on the rich getting richer? Is taking more from the rich to make someone with less better off the right thing to do? Is this fair? Thomas Sowell. Constrained vs. Unconstrained. Does the pie grow largerYes? Is it at the expense of other people in distant lands? I think not. Why does a diamond have value? People. Economy. Wants
Needs.
Have we been lied to? By whom? Why do we pay property taxes? Whose land is this? Free Americans
The Governments. Are Republicans the party of the rich or the party of freedom from the powerful? Are Democrats the party of equality or theft? Is Robin Hood a noble goal? Can corporations be too powerful? Limitations would limit us. Non-regulation could turn us over to them. Who decides the happy mediums? Why?
Just wondering.

Just when you think you have all the answers, somebody changes the questions.
To: SC_Conservative
Friends, don't let people friends post drunk.
To: SC_Conservative
On the one hand, you believe these questions are the Mysteries of the Ages. On the other hand, you believe that by simply asking the questions in an internet forum, you will immediately be handed the true answers, free of any charge, effort, or sacrifice on your part.
That's either incredibly naive, or disingenuous.
To: SC_Conservative
O.K., here are your answers.
No. You get what you give. No. Yes. Yes. No. Not less. No. Yes. Can't. GOD. Yes.
Yes. Not. No. No. No. Yes. No. It's shiny.
No. N/A. Liberals. Ours. The latter. The latter. No. No. The voters (who vote). 'Cause.<p. Hope this helps. Now get some sleep.
To: Cool Guy
I am too hungover to answer that.
Check with me at 10 tonight, I'll leave city jail's phone number later.

Or he's really, really drunk.I thought beer makes you smart and good looking. In the case of Coors, it even makes you a mile tall.

What about the retiring head of GE for the last decade. You guessed it, he is a Demorat.
NO no no...Jack Welch is an unabashed, very hard core Republican.

Love your post here. It's one of the most fun - yet thought provoking.

Either way, it is ALWAYS wrong to steal from someone and give it to another.
Yes, what you say is true. However, is it stealing when you take it from a thief, assuming you have no way of locating the original owners? Would it be wrong to keep it for yourself in that case? Would you be obligated to give your loot to the "authorities" (i.e. the government) when they're the biggest thieves of all?

NO!
Robin Hood REDISTRIBUTED the money.
Robin Hood was a Communist.
LOL! Damn it, you're right. He should have kept it all for himself, like a good capitalist. Actually, according to nopardons (post 77), Robin Hood did keep it for himself. Personally, I wouldn't have redistributed it either!

But asking questions and the quest to find the answers makes life interesting. It feels GREAT when you find the answer. The trick is to ask the right questions and to strike a good balance between easy and interesting life. Love your post :-) Great blend of humor and serious dialogue - and words of wisdom.
You're the MAN, Cool one - I see there is hope for the future of civilization - as shown by the youth and their posts on FR :-)

How about "to ride a moose, you must first eat some cheese!"
To: Hemlock; MadIvan
Actually, he shouldn't have stolen the money in the first place.
He should've started a "FreeBritannia"- type organization and overturned the whole confiscatory system!!!
To: Peter W. Kessler
Free Britannia would have shot King John full of arrows for his abuse of power and demanded that taxes be abolished immediately. Robin Hood was a gendarme, who became a revolutionary, who in the legend, became an earl, i.e., a gendarme again.
Regards, Ivan
