J. Michael Waller is using facts that Rumsfeld and Franks debunked last week so the entire article is Bunk!

can you give an example? I guess Rumsfield disputed the lawyer-interference one, didn't he?

Re your post:
Frankly, I can't bring myself to quote from it. Suffice it to say, the Clintons are no longer hiring.
And you, Paul Begala, should find a real job. ;^)
To: Yehudi
How far along into Bush's presidency will it be before, when bad things happen, they stop being Clinton's fault? When every last stain x42 left on the contry is erased. When every one of his corrupt and incompetent appointees has been replaced. When the sagging morale and policitcally-correct mindset have been reversed. And lastly, when each of his crimes has been prosecuted and punished. Considering his sale of nuclear, missile, and encryption technology to China, this will be a long time coming, and the damage Clinton has done to this country may never be entirely erased.
In short, when "is" means "is" again.

Oh Puleeez! Talk to any military people in the country and you'll find out the answer to your question. It's going to take us years to rebuild what Clinton ruined in 8 years.

Thanks for the heads up.
Fantastic article, must reading. Rumsfeld is cleaning up the Pentagon and the DOD and making it the war machine it needs to be to fight and win the war on Terrorism!
As the President said, no more hitting a camel in the butt. We are fighting for our very existence, and it is about time the DOD realizes what their name stands for!
Rummy is just the guy to make sure they do!
To: Yehudi
Bill Clinton hated the military, no question about it. A recent issue of Vanity Fair tells the behind the scene story of his war on the military and the DOD in no uncertain terms. It is frightening to say the least what was going on under his adminstration.
Even more chilling when you remember the events of Sept 11th. I am not sure what issue, but will find out and get back to you, it is around here somewhere. :)

You didn't read the article before posting and made yourself look foolish:
"The Joint Chiefs of Staff's original attack options against the Taliban, drawn up under the previous administration, consisted only of cruise-missile strikes. Rumsfeld bluntly told his generals that the plans were bullshit and to go back and draw up something that would crush the regime and the destroy terrorists. "
To: Yehudi
How far along into Bush's presidency will it be before, when bad things happen, they stop being Clinton's fault? How far along? Oh I don't know, maybe when the stench of Clinton is gone. When people like you are living in a country where you feel welcomed. Cuba comes to mind. Go to hell Yehundi.

Take notice for history: Rumsfeld is the hero of this war, not Tommy Franks or Richard Myers!

handcuffed by PC...(tired bump)

But Gen. Tommy Franks, chief of the Central Command who runs the war in Afghanistan from the U.S., called in a lawyer and let the Taliban fanatic escape on the advice of legal counsel.Somebody call an airstrike in on the ACLU..and quick!

"This is the only building in Washington that doesn't know we're at war," the official said, ticking off examples of what the Clinton years did to the military culture there."
Reminds me. Didn't Clinton get rid of some mighty powerful generals when he started his don't ask, don't tell policy? Wasn't he in fear of a military take over from OUR military leaders who knew him as a commie traitor and therefore, proceeded to start gutting every military level?
