What do you get when you mix Soccer Moms, SUVs and cell phones? Here's a brief photo essay illustrating the driving skills of Bill Clinton's most loyal voters.

I miss Red Green. He's not on around here any more.

Red Green is one of the things I miss about living in Detroit. And Papa Romano's pizza.

I'm surprised I don't see more of this out here in Southern California. We have some serious idiots on the road. I keep saying the DMV needs to start testing IQ as part of the driver licensing process.

This is a classic 'Caption This' photo with the soccer mom on the cell phone.

I should have guessed by your screen name that you'd like HNinC
Now, my dad took me to Blackhawks games many, many times when I was a child. ("here come the Hawks, the mighty, Blackhawks! Take the attack yeah, and we'll back you, Blackhawks!" Yeah, sure....)
And we were big Avalanche fans in Denver. So I suppose we're natural rivals. ;)
On a more somber note, whatever happened to those guys on the Red Wings who had the horrible accident--was it one guy or more? They were in comas or something? Did they ever recover?

Bearing in mind that I hate SUVs, the statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), indicate that about 10,000 Americans died in rollover accidents in 1998. While nearly half (47 percent) of these accidents involved SUVs, just under 20 percent of vehicle sales in the United States are of SUVs. I think the great rollover potential of SUVs has been documented.
I don't know what the statistics are comparing accidents by gender while driving SUVs, but I did read somewhere that women talk on their cell phones in their cars more than men, and that is a great distraction.
My advice, get a horse.

As Red Green used to say "If it ain't broke, you're not trying hard enough".
The show still comes on in reruns sometimes on PBS.
