USO Canteen Freeper Style

War has come to our shores. It was committed on American soil.  We have been able to live in Freedom only because of those who have fought in the past wars giving life, limb and all the sacrifices for us to live in Freedom and go about our day without fear.

On September 11, 2001, that comfort, that feeling of living in a land that would not be attacked ended.

William T. Sherman said it succinctly, "War is hell."

The day has come for this Nation and its people to understand that there is a risk in losing its freedom, and in reality there always has been. We have ONLY stayed free because of the sacrifices of our military, our warriors.

This is about saving the future of America. Aristotle said, "We make war that we may live in peace."

We are seeing the American Flag flying at homes now more than ever in my lifetime. We are seeing the American Flag flying on vehicles and people wearing Flag pins and small Flags on their clothes. America is united in the cause for Freedom and for our country to WIN against the evil that came upon our land to kill and hurt us. To change our way of life and to destroy America which is US, you and me. To take away our precious Freedom.

This is the Freeper version of the USO Canteen. Where soldiers could come and feel a small part of being at home. It is a place where you that have family in the military can post a thought to a loved one that might be able to read it far away from home. A place where we that support our military can help support them, post to them, fun graphics showing the price in America and our troops. Poems, quotes, cartoons, or articles of how America is behind our troops.

Those in our military are our Nation's warriors. Let us join hands, fly our Flag and let the world know how important our warriors are to us....And that our MILITARY, our Warriors, are America's TRUE HEROS!

This is wonderful how your school celebrated Veterans Day. I love hearing things like this. I have missed you a lot and am so glad to see you hear and hear about your school.

Oh,,,,, I didn't serve. I'm a wimp A$$,,, they would have never let me in. And if they'd made a mistake and let me in,,, they would have sent me home in a jiffy.

I didn't get tough until I married and moved to the farm,,, then raisin' 3 boys on a pig farm sort of put some spine in my back.

Thanks again, for all you've done for our country.

Glad you finally got in to the Canteen. SAMWolf said he hasn't been able to get FR from work either. I think that's reason enough not to go to work.

Just stay home, log on, drop in, have a drink, a bite to eat, a few laughs. Who needs work? :^)

Thanks for all you do, You are a true patriot and I salute you and everyone who supports our troops, your efforts along with all the others who recognize and appreciate our brave men and women in uniform is very much appreciated and very much needed by them. I sure hope our troops can see the support they have and I hope they visit this website to witness how proud we are of them.

May God Bless each and every one of them and return them to their families unharmed

4TheFlag.......Hi there. I stepped out of the Canteen for a second to make sure we have enough wood piled up outside for the fireplace.
The nights are getting colder now and it is so cozy in the Canteen to have a nice fire going.

Sleep well 4TheFlag.
We all have different times we have to be up early , work late so I am sure everyone here understands it can be hard to get up early.I know I had to get up early a lot and so did FallGuy.Working on location or at the studio most have to be there by 5:30 a.m. for makeup ect.

I just wanted you to know I truly understand that it is hard and not so much fun to get up before the paper is even delivered and even the birds are asleep.

We care about you here so just know you have a lot of friends waiting for you at the Canteen. Have a great day tomorrow.
